“And the pre-recording meets for your fan meet details with Fifeteen.” Did I hear it wrong? The tiny bellyache in her voice on Fifeteen. Working now with her I mostly forget that Emmet is not in good terms with Vhrea.
I too didn’t want to go there. I had this long continuous shoot from two days that I was out of everything. “Tarun was saying my name was trending? What was it this time for?”
Hopefully not for something black or wrong reason. I didn’t want another peace break for now. “It was actually that your media team posted a wrong tweet, and deleted it so the fans were enraged that you don’t get the freedom to talk about what you want to.”
Oh! The team will handle it then. I didn’t get a hold of my phone for like two straight day and nights; I wonder how many times Mom has filled my call list with her missed calls. In the small of my mind, I was curious if Vhrea at least gave me a call?
I total wish she did. I didn’t want her to break my heart than already it is.
“Would you be okay if your boyfriend tells you that he needs to marry your sister for a certain time period for very circumstantial reasons?”
“Honestly No.” That is what any sensible person would say, including me.
“But if the reasons are really life and death then a compromise can save the day. When you first think about the situation you are emotional, and you don’t see anything beyond the tape of betrayal and hurt your person has caused you,”
I could totally see what she meant. When Vhrea said the news to me I was going crazy in the wrong way. I just wanted her to stop talking and for all this to be a bad dream. This is not even a situation that I can talk with Gabriel, because I am sure if he would’ve known about my relationship with Vhrea then brother would first come to me with the proposal planning.
He isn’t aware of the entire situation. If he will know he would not let the repeat of five years back happen again. I can’t even blame him.
What I couldn’t understand was why would he want to marry Vrea? Because I was sure that he is not someone who has longing feelings for a long time. Vhrea claims that this is a business move. So, the right approach to it would be to think that Gabriel must be stuck in a very oily pickle to stoop at this level.
I believe this has something to do with his so–called Aunt, Tiara Raikar. I hate it to see Gabriel trying to really consider her family but my X–Ray sharp eyes knows very well that for her he is just an asset she is willing to discard anytime.
It is just too painful to imagine brother being so alone, without any loved ones around, in a foreign country, and taking care of it.
“but if you let your rational and practical part think, then your mind will become open to understand what is actually the cause. That is when you can try to understand their reasons. And marriage is never an endgame Kriag. It is always about how happy you are, and how much happiness you can give someone.”
This side of her was new to me. The long and pacifying explanation speech from her definitely gave me a different point of view on what Vhrea would actually want from me. It’s not like she didn’t consider thinking about me and my situation, and completely been thoughtless about my emotions for her.
She was expecting me to understand her. She trusted me and told the truth. And I did what? Made her doubt her decision for telling me the truth.
“I am sure you can put those emotions out easily. It is definitely not an ideal situation even for a shoot.” Emmet added in the end, and I didn’t mind correcting her or providing any explanations on it.
I still need my time to answer Vhrea something. To what I actually want from her.
When my phone’s screen flashed again, I was tempted. And I finally put my fingerprint on the screen to unlock it after days! Technology has got humans wrapped under their thumbs and I was definitely not the first victim to fall under.
“Did you have dinner, Em?” At first calling her Em felt weird, but now it feels so smooth and funky to be able to call her that. For some reasons I really enjoy this nickname.
“Yes. Long back.” I didn’t get the chance to reply back as panic drowned me inside of a wrong talisman.
I am leaving tomorrow.
I could only fathom that from her text message. She has messaged me. And told me about her departure time.
I didn’t know what to feel. Should I be angry that she simply went on straight with her decision?
Or should maintain my composure, think more rationally than emotionally like Em explained, and go and give her a peaceful send off.
Because leaving like this was not going to give a peace to both of us. The right thing to do right now was first support her, then understand why she is doing.
Maybe that is the only thing I could possibly do to make us work out.
A compromise of understanding.
It took her years to give me a chance and I can’t ruin it by letting my emotions think and ego take over.
