2 hours later and the pack rules were memorised by us both.It went a bit like this...Don't disrespect,try to harm or kill anyone in the pack,Don't try to trade our secrets to other packs or or rogues. The hierarchy Went like this - 1.Alpha & Luna 2. Beta male & female 3.Gamma male & female 4.Deltas 5.Omegas

Alpha and Luna were the leaders of the pack,Betas Were in charge of assisting the alpha and Luna with this,The gammas were In charge of Defense and Attack For the pack,Delta's were those in the pack that had an important role,E.g ;Warrior,Teacher or Pack doctor/nurse. Omegas Were those without Jobs of importance,Those would be pack members who cooked,Cleaned, Maintained pack grounds or were unable to work.

The Former pack leaders Were Referred to As Alpha Roman And Luna Darcy and The current pack leaders were only referred to as Alpha And Luna.The alphas Family were In the beta hierarchy,They were of high importance but the alpha and Luna were still first.

Those were the basics anyway,we had now moved onto mates.

"Alex do you know what mates are and do...I mean you were only five when you left your pack?" Gigi Asked curiously

He nodded,"Find your mate and begin the mating process,I know everything there is to know" he smiled widely.

She glanced at me then back at Alex."Well maybe this is one just For autumn.."She cleared her throat."So we're gonna head up to her room and I'll explain it there" she added quickly. He nodded."See you In a while.".

We ran up to my room ,And I plonked onto my bed staring at the sun setting through the sun roof.

"So explain to me what you know so far about mates" she said,Sitting on my sofa at the end of my bed.

"it's like soul mates, You're destined to be together,When you meet,two halves of a whole are complete.You'd die for each other,protect each other and never let anyone hurt the other.You love them eternally." I finish.

"okay so you know the concept pretty well..What about the mating process?" She asked

I frowned in response. "Uhh"

Her eyes widened. "He told you nothing?"

I shook my head.

"Oh...Um..okay" she cleared her throat." Well the mating process goes like this..You Meet your mate,You mark your mate and then you uh ..Mate with your mate." she looked uncomfortable

I frowned. "mark and mate with your mate?" I quizzed.

"Oh golly ,Okay" she breathed in " well ,Normally mates,when they meet ,Kinda go crazy inside you,wanting to claim what's yours ..so to speak,They crave their mates touch and crave to be close or next to them.Male wolves normally mark their mate within 24 hours of meeting them because their wolf kinda makes them do it.Some Wolves like Brandon have to hold their wolves back,which can be painful for them,their wolves fight to get to you,to come forward and mark you." she awkwardly explained.

"What does marking entail?"

"Your mate will bite you ,where your shoulder meets your neck" ,she points to the place on herself ,Where there is nothing but plain skin."The bite only hurts for a second,it's normally done,during s*x,made to intensify orgasms" she blushed." And he doesn't just mark you,you must mark him too for the link to be complete." she added.

"So Do you have a mate?" I asked curiously,not noticing any mark.

She shook her head."I'm still yet to find mine"she said sadly.

"and the mating part? ,Is that what it sounds like?"

she nodded."Yes,You have sex.The marking and mating are normally done together for the link to eachother to be complete."

I nodded " Is there any other things I should know about werewolves?"

She thought for a second.

"A few things actually. Werewolves Are only pregnant for 6 months instead of 9months,Werewolves also have something called A heat,Which normally happens twice a year once you find your mate.A heat is like nothing you've ever experienced,It feels like lava encasing your body and you feel very weak." she explained." the only person you'll want near you is your mate,And he helps it calm down a little with his presence"

" That sounds awful" I said,A little scared now.

" It's natural , Every shewolf will go through it until they breed,After the first pup stops breast feeding,the heats start again and is reduced to One a year."

I gulped." What happens to those that reject their mates or get rejected? "

she looked at me ,Alarmed before her face softened " Well.. because they met their mate,they still go into heat and when you're in heat,Youre left defenseless and weak and unmated Males are Attracted to you hopelessly,their wolves lose control and try to mate with you."

I gasped "That's So Horrible!" ,she nodded.

We sat in silence for 2 minutes before she spoke again."On the up side,We have this cool thing called mind linking.."

I brightened up a little,"Tell me more" I demanded.

"Well it's kinda where you speak to eachother through your mind,Except they could be up to 10 miles away ,If they're out of range the link won't work.But you can only mind link those in your pack,once you get your wolf and are sworn into the pack.Its overwhelming at first but it settles down and gets easier " she Smiled

"Thats so cool!" I beamed.

"We also have superman hearing,taste,strength,speed and can see pretty well in the dark, We're warm blooded so we never get cold And We can talk to our wolves."

my eyes popped out of their head."Wow I can't wait to be a wolf!"

"Technically you already are" she laughed.

"Right" I smiled

"So what exactly Is the ritual?" I asked casually.

"You have to pass three tests before you're welcomed into the pack.The first one is about your mind ,you must pledge your loyalty to the pack Infront of everyone and then you'll be asked two questions to test your knowledge of the pack rules" she paused. "If I said a pack member had tried to kill another pack member and then asked you what the punishment is .." she led off.

"I would answer with intent to kill another pack member is punishable by death or by banishment."

"see! you've got this" she beamed.

"The second test?"

"The gamma Will ask you to strategise a plan of attack and defense for the pack under siege or in a case where we were being attacked by rogues or pack wars"

I nodded.

"And the third"

she bit her lip."Possibly the hardest task for you to pass.The rank test,You'll be asked a question from each of the Different members of the council ,Ten questions in all. The former alpha and Luna,The current Alpha,beta and both gammas,The head of the orphanage and nursery,Headmaster from high school ,Pack nurse and pack doctor."She finished.

"What will they ask me?"

she looked at me sheepishly "I'm sorry I'm not allowed to tell you".she said with a wince.

"Okay" I sighed,"Does my brother know all of this?"

she nodded ,"But I'll go and check to make sure" she said with a smile,heading toward the door.I saw her lick her lips,A gleam in her eye.I chuckled."Just so you know,my brother has never been in a relationship,I don't think he intends to start now" ,She blushed ," that obvious huh?" I nodded and she darkened in her cheeks before bowing out of the room.

I got up ,Starting to pace the room,mentally reciting the pack rules.I finally found a place I belonged to and I'd be damned if I wasn't going to pass with flying colours. I must have been pacing for some time because when I looked round,the room was dark and the sun had gone down leaving a red and purple sky.

where's Gigi at? she's been gone forever. I thought to myself,Going out of my room and plodding downstairs.

I heard voices,so I stopped abruptly,seeing my parents talking to Gigi and Alex with grim expressions.I then proceeded to go all the way down stairs "What's going on?" My eyes flashed to Gigi.

"I was explaining everything that's happened in the last week to your parents." she Said slowly.

They looked at me expectantly.

"How could you not tell me what I was? ,What Alex is ? ,Hell,What you were? A witch and wizard is it?"

"Warlock" my dad muttered.

"Whatever" I said waving my hands.

"Honey,We thought you were a human" my mum said Sadly.

"But I'm not" I snapped

she nodded,"We should have told you"

I snapped my eyes back to Gigi and Alex ,"You've told them about the ritual tomorrow? that we'll have to live at the pack house?" she nodded and my mum looked at me with Sadness.

"we knew we couldn't keep you here forever ,That one day you'd both grow up and move out,We just didn't expect it to be so soon." she paused.

"But you can both come and visit any time and with your alphas permission we can come and visit you too , you're always welcome here." my father finished.

I gave them both a hug,Alex following after me.

"So..Dinner?" my mum wiped a tear from her eye.

we all smiled.

"What can I help with Mrs W?" Gigi Asked politely.

she thought for a second before smiling.

"Autumn you peel the veg,Gigi you chop them up for me",Then her eyes went to Alex as he grinned sheepishly,clearly thinking he'd gotten away with it "And Alex can dice the chicken" she smirked as he groaned.

45minutes later we were sitting down to dinner eating our chicken casserole and devouring dumplings in silence. My mother was the first to speak up.

"So when do they need to leave?" She said strongly,putting on a brave face.

Gigi Looked nervous."Normally they stay on pack grounds the night before the ceremony but they can stay here and we can collect them at dawn if you wish" She said,fidgeting under my mother's glare.

She didn't say anything and an uncomfortable silence set in. My mother started to collect the plates in once everyone was finished. She sighed.

"Gigi ,Tell the alpha To collect them here in thirty minutes",Gigi looked at us for confirmation ,I nodded and Alex smiled weakly. Her eyes glazed over and I could tell she was now mind linking Brandon.

Alex became stiff beside me and looked somewhat heartbroken. I gave his hand a gentle squeeze "Hey,It's gonna be fine,We can come and visit all the time,Plus won't it be cool to have a pack again? ,And not smell like a rogue?,Plus who knows,you might find your mate" I added.

he looked at me strangely before offering me a small smile,ruffling my hair. "When did you become so wise?" ,I laughed,swatting his hand away and raising a brow "When did you become so emotional?" .He laughed back."Touché"

"Well it looks like we've got some packing to do" I smiled before we both headed upstairs whilst Gigi helped with the dishes.

I looked around at my room and sighed.Id only been here for 8 days,On my third day(Friday) I had bumped into Brandon and thats how this all begun.I came home Saturday night and I bumped into him on Sunday when I was in town,He looked business like and gave me apologetic eyes,telling me he couldn't stop but he'd see me on Saturday. It's been 5 whole days since I'd seen him and I was starting to miss him even though I'd only met him last friday. what was I turning into? I mentally laughed before thinking to myself oh that's right ,I'm turning into a werewolf. I snorted out loud. snapping me into attention.

If I was going to see him again tonight I needed to look good.And even more perfect tomorrow.I foraged around inside my wardrobe and draws before finding what I was looking for. gotcha.

I selected a red pleated skirt that ended just above the knee and a Bandeau Sweetheart neckline crop top that was Checked red and black like a flannel top.It accented my Breasts and hips ,making me look even curvier than I already am. I let my Auburn hair down ,Curling it into ringlets and finishing the look with some light make up; Black mascara ,A tint of blush and A bright red lip gloss. I finished the look with a Black leather jacket and some black Trainers.

perfect.

I then grabbed my bag packing a Dress for tomorrow and A pair of casual clothes and a pair of shoes to go with each outfit.I chucked my tooth brush,tooth paste,Shampoo,conditioner and body wash in a wash bag along with a flannel And then put that in too,I grabbed my make up bag and threw it in,hearing it clutter about. oops and then finally put my curling tongs and phone charger in too before zipping it up and slinging the bag over my shoulder.

I went in to check on Alex who had just finished packing himself.He looked me up and down his eyes Darkened and he crossed his arms " Change." he Said protectively. I laughed shaking my head "No!,Why should I change?" He sighed uncrossing his arms "Fine!,but if I see one Male so much as look at you in the wrong way I swear I'll-" I held my hand up ,"you'll do nothing ,I can Stand up for myself."

He grumbled before we both heard a familiar Doorbell Ring.

My heart started to beat 100 times a minute. "Now who's nervous?"Alex smirked,walking downstairs and leaving me in his room alone.I breathed in before following him out and walking down the stairs slowly.

when I got to the bottom ,I realised my mum had already let Brandon and a guy who seemed vaguely familiar in ,They were chatting to Gigi And my parents as we walked in.

I saw Brandon's head snap up as I entered And his eyes Darkened completely ,I blinked and he was by my side in under a second,His arms wrapped around my waist protectively.He looked to my side to see Alex and gave him a menacing glare. Alex looked to me confused with a help sign plastered on his face.

"Uhh" I stammered out, "Nice to see you too Brandon." His green eyes came back into focus and he jumped ,taking his hands of of me and looking at me guiltily. A low whistle sounded from the guy who had entered with Brandon as he looked in my direction.

Both Alex And Brandon let out a deep warning Growl,their eyes blackening. The guy raised his hands ,Looking slightly worried ,

"Sorry, sorry I was only commenting on how good the Luna Looks today" He bowed to me And they both settled slightly.

"I know,It's as if she's trying to kill me" Brandon grumbled first before Alex spoke up "I think she did it on purpose" he laughed ,"I'm Alex,Autumns Adopted brother ,It's a pleasure to meet you Alpha." He bowed his head in respect and then Continued "And uh nice to meet you too ..Beta?" he questioned in The other guys direction.

The guy smirked. "Good to meet you too,Luna,Alex,I'm beta Darren." he announced before bowing his head to me.

Brandon stared at Alex ,Narrowing his eyes " Your blood holds power,What was your rank in your last pack?" he questioned.

"I was born Under The beta of the pack,So I have Beta blood" he replied nervously.

Brandon nodded thoughtfully." You'll be a good addition to the pack,I'm Brandon,Alpha of the pack and Autumns Mate " he offered a genuine smile to Alex which he returned.

I let out a sigh of relief. "Now we're all done exchanging pleasantries,Can I say goodbye to my parents?" I said with slight attitude.

Brandon looked a little dazed for a minute before he nodded.Myself and Alex excused ourselves ,walking over to our parents who were watching our exchanges with worried glances.

My mum teared up "Is it time already?" I nodded. "I'll come and visit soon mum I promise" I gave her a hug before turning to my dad he Looked at me and I saw tears bubbling behind his relaxed facade ,"I love you dad" ,Those words alone were enough to break the facade ,Sending him into a fit of tears "My baby girl" he whispered as he hugged me tight "take care of yourself,Remember I'm only a call away,I won't hesitate to kick that guys ass if he hurts you" he said quietly."even if he is an alpha" ,I giggled "thanks dad." I pulled away ,before letting Alex say his goodbyes.

I sighed when he finished,my mum and dad holding each other as they walked us out. Brandon pulled the passenger door open on his black Range rover and ushered me inside,taking my bag, before closing the door,Alex sat behind me and Darren sat behind the driver's seat,leaving Gigi Squashed in the middle.Brandon slung mine and Alex's bags in the boot and closed it,before getting into the driver's seat.

He started the engine and I wound down the window. "You ready? "he asked Carefully ,I nodded.

"Bye! I'll see you soon!,love you!" I said to my mum and dad out the window once last time before Brandon drove off. I saw them waving until we turned the corner off of the drive and then I wound the window back up.

I sighed.Alex Squeezed my shoulder in an attempt to soothe me and I relaxed.

Everything will be okay I breathed.Throwing my head back into the head rest and staring out the window for the rest of the ride.
