The Rituals Part 1: Tests or torture?

I was Gently nudged awake. I peeked one eye open and Jumped in suprise. "Alex! you almost gave me a heart attack!" I groaned as he laughed his head off.

"Sorry Sis,But it's time to get up,The tests begin at 6 sharp and I know what you're like getting ready." I looked over at the clock 4:45AM And let out a yawn "Ten more minutes" I mumbled,Turning over.

He sighed."I really hope you're not naked for my sake." He muttered. "What are you-HEY!" He ripped the duvet off my bed,Throwing it to the other side of the room.I sat up Crossing my arms and scowling at him "There was no need to be a d**k" I Said angrily.

"You'll thank me later" He said loudly,walking towards the door "If you're not outside this room at 5.30am ,I'm coming to drag you out ,no matter what you look like." He smiled at me quickly and left.

Asshole.

I mooched out of bed making my way to the bathroom and getting in the shower. I scrubbed my body and Shaved every inch that would be on show today.Then I lathered my hair with shampoo,Starting to Sing the words to Eminem's 'Beautiful' , rapping the Middle verse " I don't need no f*****g manservant

Trying to follow me around, and wipe my ass

Laugh at every single joke I crack

And half of 'em ain't even funny like hahaha

Then I blared out the chorus as I washed out the conditioner.Turning off the shower and stepping out,wrapping a towel around my body.

"But don't let em say you ain't beautifulllll,woah woahhh,They can all get-JESUS b***h ON A STICK"

I put my hand to my heart As Gigi burst into a fit of giggles.what is it with people and scaring me today!

"Relax ! I've just come to help you get ready."She laughed "Nice Rapping by the way" .

"Thanks" I replied,my heart only just recovering.

I grabbed my Black Panties and A shiny lace black bra,Turning away from Gigi and putting them on.

"Uhh you know I'm a girl too right?" she questioned sarcastically.

"I don't like people seeing my body" I muttered,Pulling on a flowing white dress.

"Oh honey.5 thousand people are gonna see you in your underwear today,I wouldn't worry about it" she said casually ,Covering her mouth when I turned to look at her like a deer in headlights.

"WHAT?! FIVE THOUSAND?!"

I started hyperventilating.

"Oh god oh um oh no." Gigi paced "Breath Autumn ,it's gonna be fine uh look on the bright side,atleast it'll only be for an hour or two."

"AN HOUR OR TWO!?"

I felt like I was suffocating,tears started to stream down my cheeks and I couldn't breathe,Suddenly the door opened and I was being held in strong arms "What's going on?! " A male voice Questioned in a panicked tone.

"I think she's having a panic attack." Gigi said frantically, Rushing out of the room before another pair of hands grabbed the sides of my head. "Autumn look at me,Look at me!" A voice I recognized as Alexs boomed ,I looked into his eyes blurrily."Breathe In" I breathed in ,"And out" I breathed out."In" ,"Out" ,He started to come back into focus again,My breathing becoming more regular.I felt a warm strong Chest against my back with hands around my waist,I looked round to see Brandon ,concern etched into his face. "It's okay ,I've got you." I automatically relaxed into his embrace.

"So are you going to tell me what that was about?" Brandon narrowed his eyes at Gigi questioningly.

She looked embarrassed "I may have freaked her out by saying 5 thousand people would see her half naked" I stiffened as I heard her say it again,Starting to shake violently.

Alex Ran his hand through his hair "Yeah that'd do it" he sighed " She hasn't been half naked Infront of anyone since she was 5 years old. Shes always had this phobia since" he paused wincing.

"Why?" Brandon Frowned.

"Because When I was 5 We went swimming and I had my first tankini ,I went down the slide and the water pulled off my tankini top and bottoms and everyone laughed at me,calling me chubby" I mumbled.

Brandon growled and I jumped,stepping forward automatically,Breaking out of his embrace.He looked at me with an unknown emotion before he looked at my dress approvingly. "I need to get ready" I mumbled ,blushing when I met his eyes.His eyes went to my lips and then to the place on my neck that had two light hickeys ,His eyes Darkened and then his face Paled,A stoic expression on his face as he marched out of the room.

I watched him go ,my mouth agape in suprise of the cold shoulder. Gigi looked surprised too but quickly recovered,ushering Alex out of the room.

"Alright alright I'm going!" he hissed.

"Okay we have approximately 5 minutes to make you look stunning Before it's go time!" Gigi Said sternly,sitting me down and applying make up furiously before Drying off the rest of my hair and giving it a comb through.

"Beautiful.Now grab some shoes and let's go"

I did as I was told,grabbing a pair of white converse trainers and putting them on my feet quickly. 5.37AM. I shrugged Oops I'm running late.

We Stepped out of the door ,Alex chucked me an apple which I caught ,Chomping into it as we made our way downstairs.looks like breakfast was on the go today. I thought to myself.

We eventually made it to A huge Hall where thousands of people sat in rows waiting.I bit my lip. I threw the apple in the nearest bin and turned to Alex."Are you ready?" He nodded,seemingly nervous.

Beta Darren ,Josh and Clara came up to us at the door offering kind smiles " These are the Gammas of the pack,Josh and Clara" Darren stated ,Alex quickly bowed his head in respect. "Actually we've already met" I raised an eyebrow,smiling .They nodded "We hear you're our new Luna " Josh poked at me making me Laugh "Not yet" I said in a small voice,blushing.

Darren's eyes Frosted over "It's time" he spoke, looking toward The Alpha At the front of the hall.They nodded their heads at eachother.Darren went first,Followed by Gigi,Then Josh and Clara followed by myself and Alex. Every eye in the room was upon us and my breath hitched in my throat.

Alex squeezed my hand reassuringly as we got to the front ,standing on either side of the alpha.

The room went silent.

"Today We Test these individuals To see if they have what it takes to become Apart of our Pack,our family and our Home.If they Pass you will welcome them in with open arms and gain another brother and sister .First The ritual declares that you bare witness to their testimony of loyalty to the pack." He cleared his throat. "Alex Barnaby White ,Please step forward and pledge your loyalty" .

Alex Stepped Forward shakily " I ,Alex Barnaby White Declare my loyalty To the pack And alpha Clarkson" He stated loudly and Proudly.

Brandon nodded in agreement. "Autumn Delilah White,Please step forward and Pledge your Loyalty"

I breathed in stepping forward.I looked at the crowd which made me feel nervous "I..Autumn Delilah White pledge my Loyalty To both Pack and it's Alpha" I shouted. My voice carried,I breathed out calmly. well done,you didn't f**k up for once.

He nodded again. "Let The tests begin." He said loudly.

Beta Darren stepped forward ,As did the former beta of the pack ,"You will both be tested on your knowledge of pack rules separately" He said ,"Autumn you'll go first and be tested by myself whilst Alex And brother Kayden Will be outside." I nodded.

Alex gave me a quick hug "You've got this" he whispered. before stalking away.

once he was outside the hall ,Beta Darren turned to the front his eyes frosting over.Suddenly two men stood up from their seats and walked towards us. "These wolves here Stole from a Nearby human town" Beta Darren said whilst the wolves had blank faces. "What do we do to wolves Who steal from humans?" he questioned me.

"We would Give them a hour of wolfsbane laced whips and Ask them to return what they stole For a first time offender.For a second time offender You get 24 hours of punishment. And for a third you can be banished from the pack." I finished proudly.

The beta Nodded" They also Killed 4 humans in the process"

"That's punishable by execution" I replied.

"Very good" He smirked "Boys you can go back to your seats now,this demonstration is over"

They did as they were told before he turned to me again "Recite the Wolf Hierarchy"

"Alpha,Luna,Betas,Gammas,Deltas,Omegas"

"And what are Delta's?"

"Those that have vital jobs within the pack"

"And those are?"

"Doctor,Nurse,Teacher and Warrior"

He nodded glancing at Brandon.

A woman came out of no where , Running at Brandon with a low growl. My eyes widened before I dove Infront of him. "Stop!" I Shouted.The she would didn't listen,Diving at me and knocking me over instead of Brandon.She got up turning her attention to one of the pack members in the crowd,An Older lady.She bared her claws and I got up,Looking around the room for something to leash her with when my eyes landed on Gigis Scarf ,I snatched it from her before running towards the Crazed wolf,tying it around her chest and forearms,putting her in a hold as It held her arms back from the elderly lady and detained her.

A small clap started and then everyone broke into applause."You can release her now " Brandon grinned.

I did as I was told ,Giving the woman a look over "Did I hurt you?" I asked ,She shook her head "No ,I apologise for the act,I was ordered to" I nodded " I guessed" I smiled at her before she sat in her seat again.

"Well done,You've passed the first test" Brandon boomed as Everyone clapped.

Now it was Alex's turn.I was ushered out of the room by a smiling Gigi ,Once out of sight she squealed "Oh my god! you did so well!" I grinned " I thought so too,But I couldn't have done it without your help".

Alex came back out 30 minutes later grinning ear to ear."They want you back in there for the second test.I passed the first with flying colours and the second one I just about passed" he said proudly.

I nodded ,going back in.

This time The Gammas stood at the front ,Alpha just of to the side.

Josh Spoke "I would like you to act as if you are A ranked member in a planned pack war that will start In 3 days ,All other Ranked members are busy, leaving you to organise The pack,What do you do?

I thought for a minute. "I'd like all pack warriors to stand up" I shouted ,They hesitated before standing up. "Stand by the doors for me for a moment.Pack clinic ,Stand on the right hand side ,Any able bodied Delta's that aren't Clinic and know how to fight,Stand with the warriors,All others ,You will join the pack clinic to prepare for the upcoming attack ,You will help them get people in from the battlefield. All elderly,Children and Pregnant women will Stay in this room with the room guarded By A few Warriors and the doors locked.Anyone who is able to fight you may go with the warriors.

Warriors will train Until sundown for the next two days.Women and children will set up in here incase we are attacked early,clinic staff with prepare the necessities for healing and those that help them will stock up on supplies in this room and in the clinic.

When they attack us in three days time,or even before,we will be ready,until then,kiss your children,hug your mates and make the most of the time you have until it starts,we may lose some of you but we won't go down without a fight and your lives will not be in vein." I finished.

They all looked shocked,even the ranked members.

"Uhh that's it" I finished clearing my throat.

"Everyone back to your places" Clara commanded.

They did as she said.Then she beamed at me "Well done! you've passed "

I grinned ear to ear. hah take that Alex

"We will now commence the third test ,Everyone who isn't apart of this can go back to their homes until dusk" the alpha Stated.

They all left Alex came in shortly after with a questioning look at me ,I nodded and then smirked,He smiled a well done at me.

A makeshift table was brought forward And The Alpha,Beta,Gammas,The head master and two women I don't recognize sat down followed by An Older Man I recognized as the Pack doctor, Dr Jefferson, and Roman with who I assumed was Brandon's mother Darcy. She beamed at me enthusiastically but Brandon gave her a look.She scowled sitting down and then it all went silent.

"We will each ask you a question and you must answer it honestly and to the best of your ability" The alpha Stated. "Alex you will go first" He looked at Gigi And I started to walk towards the door knowingly.Gigi catching up as we stood outside.

"That test you just did,Not even Brandon commanded people so well like that when he had to do that test at 16.Youre a born leader" She said, surprised."I'm surprised they're even making you do this test,we all know where you fit" she laughed.

I smiled "Thanks but I'd rather do this fairly and pass all three "

soon enough an anxious Alex came out. "Your turn" he whispered before looking at Gigi "They didn't tell me if I passed or not" he said frantically ,

She looked at him softly "Relax,it's just protocol ,they tell you after they decide what rank you'll be in the pack."she cooed.I looked at her amused before I headed back in.

I stood Infront of the table with a confident smile you can do this I thought to myself.

The the council all turned to face me ,soft smiles planted on their faces.

I sighed ,Here we go,one last test.
