Wolf

*Autumn POV*.

I heard the gentle sound of beeping getting louder as I opened my eyes I was hit with a bright white light and I blinked a few times,my surroundings coming into view.I was in a hospital.I looked down and sighed in relief when I found I had my shorts on but then quickly panicked when I found a canula in my hand and a Bag of fluids above me.I tried to move but groaned,Raising my hand to my head ,I felt like I'd been hit by a bus.

I looked around for a call button ,But didn't find one,I tried to get up,letting out a whimper as I Coughed,my neck felt as if it was on fire. I raised my hand to my throat where I felt five scabs

what the hell?

There were four on one side and one on the other. I put a hand round my throat and it matched.That guy squeezed my neck so hard he made me bleed! ,I continued o try and get up but when I finally managed to put my foot on the floor an alarm went off.I must have pulled one of my heart monitors off. I swore silently.

Someone rushed into the room.A man in his late Forties,Brown hair with speckles of grey ,concern etched on his have,he had chocolatey brown eyes and he broke into a small smile when he saw I was fine.He bowed his head slightly looking awkward before raising his head.

"Ah lun-Miss" he corrected himself ,"You're awake,You should probably hop back onto the bed,You aren't quite recovered yet.

I did as he said ,He smiled,"What happened?" I asked.

He flinched,Obviously not knowing what to say. "Well from my understanding,You were put in a ..."he paused thinking intently "a traumatic situation" he said slowly, eyeing my response to his words.when I nodded he continued "Well..You sustained a few injuries so the alph-" he paused again,getting frustrated with himself."Sorry I meant one of your friends brought you to the hospital to get checked over"

I narrowed my eyes, one of my friends? "Who?" I asked innocently. " I believe his name is Brandon" The doctor shrugged. I still looked confused.

"He had Jet black hair and Green eyes I believe" he added cautiously.

"Oh,Right yeah..Brandon" I said as if I knew him.

The doctor Sighed in relief

"Wait! have you called my mum and dad? they'll be worried sick!"

"Calm down,They know that you are safe and well" he said reasuringly.

This time it was my time to sigh in relief.

"So where are they?" ,He looked uncomfortable. "They were told they cannot see you until you're released I'm afraid"

what kind of hospital Is this?

Before I could say anymore ,The doctor turned ,Pretending to look at my charts,His eyes glazed over and he went rigid before he blinked and he was back to normal again.

I was about to ask him another question when Corridor boy rushed in ,Looking at me in relief,His eyes softened when he looked at me,Rushing to my side and resting his hand on my arm. My body shivered in response and he smirked "You okay?" he said softly ,His voice sounding like music to my ears.

"Yeah uh ,Thanks for helping me" I blushed.

"I would never let anything happen to you" He said with a low Voice.

"What happened when I passed out?" I said anxiously,putting my arms around myself.

"I dealt with them,they won't hurt you ever again."

'dealt ' with them?

"what do you mean?" I whispered ,slightly scared.

He chuckled,"I Knocked one of them out and they have been reported ,they've also been expelled."

I nodded. before I could open my mouth again He day on the chair next to me "I need to tell you something" he looked nervous.

My heart leapt in my chest.The doctor left the room and I heard A click of the door. did he just lock us in?

I looked at Brandon alarmed.He sighed."He's just giving us some privacy ,I promise." I relaxed slightly but I was still tense.

"Okay I'm just going to come out with it..Please remember I'm not going to hurt you in any way nor is anyone else here,I know you might think I'm mad but please let me explain." he looked at me and I nodded.

"Estrella Town and Celeste City is a special town..designed for super naturals"

I stiffled a laugh "Like ghosts?" I bit my lip,trying not to laugh.

"Something like that" he chuckled before he continued " Werewolves live here ,now before you think I'm mad ,I can prove it,but not right now" he said quickly.

This time I burst out laughing. "Good joke" ,When I saw him looking at me with a serious face I spoke again "You're not serious?" He nodded.

"I'm going to show you something but I don't want you to be scared " he added.

"Go on." I said casually , expecting nothing to happen.

he closes his green eyes and then when he opens them,they're completely Black.I gasped. "Wh-what" I looked in shock.

he spoke" I'm not going to hurt you,I swear ,I just want to prove myself so that you don't think I'm mad,this is my only way to show you without..well changing.which would freak you out."

I nodded ,Slightly freaked out, He changed back.

"So all those growls I heard..?" I Pieced together.

He nodded "they were real"

"And the three men?" ,His eyes turned black at the question and I jumped,not expecting the change. He nodded slowly looking disgusted with the thought of them.

"We're not all like that" He said desperately.

He started to explain the way being a werewolf works and what the pack I like,how the pack works and then finally he turns to me.

"There's something else"

I nodded for him to carry on.

" Thousands of years ago when the first werewolves walked the earth,Selene,the moon goddess destined people to meet each other,The destined people are two halves of the same whole,They are what you would call a soul mate.We call them mates,when you come of age at 18 that's when you can meet your mate.Usually,when a wolf meets his or her mate they know instantly ,when they meet a bond is formed,stronger than mother and baby.With the sacred bond,you cannot hurt your mate,you swear always to protect them against any harm and you love them eternally,no one can compare to them." he explained.

"Wow" I whispered.

He looked down at his feet " but not all mates have a happy ending,Some mates don't feel the bond as strongly as the other and they..they choose the reject them."

"how do you reject a mate?" I asked.

He hesitated ,"you state you name and then you say you reject them as your mate,they have to accept it in order for the rejection to be complete."

he carried on"A rejected Wolf can die from heart break ,sometimes they receive a second chance mate I they're the rejected Wolf,but it's very rare.some rejected wolves even commit suicide.,However this doesn't just apply to rejected wolves,If your mate dies,The mate bond can be that strong that the other dies too,Sometimes that instant or sometimes a year later,those that survive become a shell of themselves,they don't ever get back to who they once was."

I gasped ,"Who would ever do that to someone?"

He smiled." Well there's one more thing,wolves don't just have wolf mates"

I frowned " What do you mean?"

"well they can be witches,Vampires,pixies,Kitsunes ,well any kind of being,even ...humans" he breathed.

My eyes popped out of my head "THEY'RE ALL REAL?!" I shouted unintentionally.

he chuckled and nodded.

I froze.

"Wait" I whispered,turning to him."When I bumped into you in the hall...You..you called me your mate"

he nodded,anxiety lacing his eyes.

"i- you,why" I started,not knowing what to say.

"I know you don't feel it" he looked at me ,clearly hurt.

"I-I am sorry" I looked at him sympathetically ,not knowing what to do.

"It's okay,I think there's a reason for it" he answered " You're not 18 yet and you're wolf hasn't come forward yet"

"What?" I spluttered,my mouth agape.

"You're a wolf" he Said slowly. "We didn't know until we tried to get your blood type,You don't have one,you have wolf blood running through your veins."

I laughed hysterically,"But you just told me that you get your wolves at 16,I do not have a wolf"

"I know" he replied "we're still trying to work out..whats going on"

"I can't be a wolf,I wasn't raised in a pack"

"About that,Your parents,Where are they from?" he asked curiously.

"My real parents Died when I was three,I was adopted by my mother and father and my brother Alex."

His eyes lit up "You weren't marked as a pack mate!,Pups aren't marked as a pack mate until they're 5! Of course!,Autumn,if you're welcomed into the pack,your wolf will come forward!"

I gulped. "But what will I tell my parents?,I can't just move in with someone I barely know ,they aren't going to allow that."

he looked guilty " I lied to you about something." ,I frowned "We told your parents you were at Gigi's for the night.." he looked ashamed.

I narrowed my eyes,he clearly was sorry."Okay" I breathed. He looked at me confused as if expecting me to be angry. "I didn't want them to see you like this" he gestured to the mirror and I started to scramble out of bed.His strong arms lifted me without my asking,Bringing the IV stand with us ,Setting me down beside the mirror ,"Thanks." I said before looking at myself in the mirror.I had a bandage around my head,And large bruises all over my body.

I gasped. "I understand your decision,but what am I going to tell them when I go back tomorrow?"

"They won't see them,by that time,the bruises will be gone."

"impossible" I whispered

"Because you have wolf's blood,we were able to speed up your recovery by injecting a wolf serum into you,you'll be alright by tomorrow"

"Where will I stay tonight?"

he blushed,looking away from me,"My room but I'll sleep on the floor"He cleared his throat."my family want to meet you,I know you've already met my sister gigi but-"

"Gigi's your sister!?" I stiffled a laugh,"it all makes sense now,Your family has good genes,damn" I rushed out,Covering my mouth.did I really just say that? did I really just call him hot? god damnit autumn. I was definitely red in the face.

His eyes Darkened a little,sparkling in amusement,smirking he took a step forward.

"So you think I'm attractive huh?" he learnt forward to whisper in my ear "Good to know" ,As he whispered it's sent a shiver down me,and I clenched my legs together,Feeling weird Down below.

what was this guy doing to me?!

He let out a playful Growl "I can smell your arousal" he muttered,Looking like he was fighting with himself.

I blushed painfully ,taking a step back.He snapped back to reality "Sorry" he said frustrated "My wolf can't help himself sometimes"

This caught my attention,"Can I see your wolf?" I Spoke before I even thought about it.

"you don't have to" I added hastily.

he smiled,"Are you sure?" ,I nodded,not trusting my words.He picked me up with a small smile, taking me back to my bed. "We've gotta get you cleared first ,then we'll Go"

"Go where?"

"into the Forrest"He said with a smirk.
