A Strange Dialogue

Author: Kall.Berti Editor & Translator: Shaduum Tallium didn't believe it when he saw the creature wasn't attacking Shangrall. Not that it was bad, but it was just unbelievable. He seemed to sniff her and try to understand, how although she was different, he didn't consider her a threat or something edible. _Father get out of here! Don't come any closer. I don't know what that is, but he seems more interested in me than anyone else. So get out of here. I know I'm not worth your effort. _Sorry Shangrall, but I didn't come here to abandon you like that. Then the creature stopped sniffing Shangrall, who was standing perfectly still and with his sword lowered, and turned towards Tallium, opening its huge mouth at him, which was full of teeth. And right after the creature showed its sharp, curved claws, like deadly blades prepared for a m******e. _I already said father! Get out of here, I'm not in danger. Go away. _I already said no Shangrall! And he lunged at the creature, his sword whirring in his hand. The animal, surprised not to see Tallium tremble with fear as did all its victims, sensed that what was in his hands was much more than a simple sword and started to move away. He was mistaken, he was just getting up on his hind legs to leap over Tallium. _Nou marê! Nou rázadum! Zibâ mapí ! [100% fictional dialect for the exclusive use of Rhagrulls.] [Do not eat! Not good! My father!] Then amazingly the animal turned to Shangrall and with great difficulty and an almost imperceptible hissing voice became low and pronounced itself slowly: _Nou Marê? Mirá su katô! Mirá su neime! Onáh marê yokassan! [Do not eat? Tell your clan! Say your name! Or I will devour yes!] _Nou marê! Nou su katô! Zibâ neime... Shangrall. [Do not eat! I am without a clan! My name is... Shangrall.] Roar!  The beast growled, not happy with the result of the dialogue. _Neime ru iagin ghu! Mira su katô aru. Onáh marê yokassan. Atauáá!!  [Foreboding name, tell your clan now or I will devour yes... All!] The beast said convinced of his action and getting angry to the point of leaving Tallium even more tense. And thinking quickly about what she was going to say, what name would she invent to please the beast, she looked at her father tenderly, but only for a moment. He was completely still, ready to attack the beast if need be, but for the moment he chose to wait for the outcome of that dialogue, If there was even the slightest chance that his daughter would walk away without being attacked, then he would wait for that chance. Shangrall glanced at his father, and even though the beast was a few feet away from her, its mouth dangerously wide open, Shangrall noticed when he told her with just the movements of his lips. _Krisha... I love you! Then she screamed at the top of her lungs: _Zibâ katô khi, zibâ mapi khi! Zibâ neime... Krisha, agha dauálkin, agha dhauáshin! Adha was war. Adha win. [My clan here, my father here! My name... Krisha, fierce warrior, swift warrior! The one that brings war. The one that wins!] And plucking up her courage she said in her tongue so that all the giants would hear and understand. _Now get out of here... And fast! The creature looked at her curiously, growled and responded. _Roar! _Krisha?Rá! Neime banta! Adha couman! Nou maré! [Krisha? Follow! Strong name! The one who commands! Do not eat.] And before Tallium could take a step, the creature sped away from them, ignoring them, and vanished with great speed, leaving its wild companions behind, who were left without understanding. Far away, the beasts were also interested in the dialogue the lead beast had had with Shangrall. So much so that they took a short break from their attacks against the giants. But now all they were interested in was devouring the appetizing dishes in front of them, which they dragged along as they devoured large chunks of meat from some still dying giants. _Is Gigaulos still alive? Tallium asked. _I don't know, father. But forget what you're thinking of doing. The giants must already be on their way to eternal oblivion. And it's not worth risking for their dirty karkaços. Don't go dad! These beasts are dangerous and fast too and can tear you apart easily. I won't be able to help you if you insist on it father, or it will have the same end as those giants. A cry of despair from Gigaulos removed all doubt from Tallium, who went to help him. _If Gigaulos is still alive, then they are not that dangerous. The other creature was still dragging and ready to devour Gigantinhus, who still stunned did not understand what had happened to him, believing that somehow Shangrall had put him out of combat and as revenge was tearing him apart with his sword effortlessly. Then Shangrall rushed forward, running after the creature that was dragging Gigantinhus who struggled hard in the creature's claws. As he did this, a new cut in its hot flesh opened up letting a large amount of blood flow, stimulating the creature to become more hungry and eager to satiate itself at that feast. After all, Gigantinhus was big and that represented food in good quantity for that beast. _Gigantinhus, are you still alive? Hearing the young kriishen's voice, he awoke from his torpor, but remained in darkness. _Shangrall Where are you? I'm not seeing anything. _I'm going Gigantinhus, hold on a little longer as I'm coming. _I'll finish you stupid beast. Shouted Shangrall, arousing the interest of the creature who could not understand how anyone could approach him without being overwhelmed by dread. Gigantinhus confused as he was, he believed it was Shangrall hurting him, wanting to slice him. Struggling even harder to overtake the beast that didn't even seem to be dragging a great weight, Shangrall stopped right in front of him, which out of curiosity the beast stopped too. _Nou maré! Nou razadum! Su katô, zibâ mapi! [Do not eat! It is not good! My clan, my father!] Shangrall spoke while looking intently at the reaction of the creature that at first seemed to ignore the warning, but after taking one more look at what was dragging, he was convinced. _Uru marê razádum! Yokossan riatáh! [I eat good! I will devour everything!] Shangrall needed to act, trying to remember anything else she could convince that this fat and fluffy giant was not a good choice! She had no idea how she would do it, just as she also had no idea how she was speaking that dialect so strange, she barely understood its meaning. She also didn't know which phrase to resort to have any effect on that terrible creature, so she would repeat the same thing she had said to the first one... Or not? _Raru zibâ katô. Nou maré! Raru zibâ ghi! Zibâ neime... Krisha, agha dauálkin, agha dhauáshin! Adha was war. Adha win. [He is my clan. Do not eat! He is my friend! My name Krisha, fierce warrior, swift warrior! The one that brings war. The one that wins!] The beast stared at her for a moment and looked deep into her eyes. She sniffed, making sure she didn't find the slightest hint of fear, let go of Gigantinhus's leg and walked away slowly without turning her back on him. _Uru rave zibâ katô! Uru rave zibâ ghi! Nou marê! Uru sten neime bantha. Rá! [I respect your clan! I respect your friend! Do not eat! I understand strong name. Follow!]
