Tallium Remembers Story

1470 Words
Still outraged by Krashiri's point of view, Tallium started his version: _We left there with a quarter of our fleet, morally devastated because they didn't even give us the chance to land on their soil. Because of that, we were forced to attack part of the planet only from the ships, because firing towers hit us all the time as soon as we threatened to descend into its nefarious world. Long-range weapons failed for no apparent reason and the worst is that we can't even have hand-to-hand combat since there was no way to do that without sacrificing the engines that threatened to stop at any moment as well. And we had to flee from there. We returned to space and stayed in orbits for a good tempus, but in the end I ordered a surprise attack, we needed to take revenge for our defeat anyway. We sneaked down after an attack focused on his large-caliber defense weapons. And devoid of any long-range weapon, we moved forward to take and tame that planet. They were in such numbers that we could never have imagined and yet we managed to win after unleashing our ferocity, showing our true fighting strength. But the price was very high, many of our huge ships worn out by the double attack and the long voyage hardly brought us back to Kriishi Meriam. And both the emperor and me, we considered that the battle on this planet was in a way the first and only defeat that we have had in the history of our Kriishen race, even though we almost wiped out all inhabitants in the second onslaught. Krashiri seemed increasingly excited by the narrative, and even though he was repressed by Tallium he did not want to stop talking: _But after that, do you remember what happened on the way back? What was the planet on which we began our conquest, O royalty? _I remember perfectly, Krashiri. It was Baghára, a planet much larger than ours, with giant inhabitants, which still maintains part of its mysteries today. We stopped to make the necessary repairs and replenish ourselves with provisions and saw that our strength was still strong enough to attempt an achievement. We wanted to compensate for our previous fiasco, although reduced in squad and firepower, everything went very well and we ended up demonstrating our superior strength to the enemy by conquering them. _Then your highness remembers what you did as soon as we returned to Kriishi Meriam? _Yes, I asked permission from the emperor, so that I could celebrate our conquest over Baghára somewhere in our multiverse, on a ship. _ And he left it, didn't he? _Yes, he was proud of my first battle in command and knew he could trust me. All the warriors in our fleet, or what was left of it, were in my favor, saying that had it not been for my intervention, they would all have been shot down, as their captain had made a bad decision by not waiting for the rest of the squadron and launching into the air. attack in such a stormy manner as he had done. With the news of the destruction of Plantares' enemies and the conquest over Baghara in such a difficult situation and with only half the squadron, the emperor finally recognized my worth and considered me as a hero of Kriishi Meriam , appointing me as commander of the entire fleet on the planet. _And what did Mr. Tallium do then? _Without knowing it, I broke the regulation of soldier, warrior and fleet commander, at once. I left immediately with my two brothers, to some planet, which was totally unknown to our race, which because it was too small did not arouse the interest of our emperor. Due to his determination and law, he was considered f*******n by any of our people ... Without exception. And turning sharply to Krashiri, Tallium asked him: _But what interest do you have in all this Krashiri? Are you lending yourself to the role of spy for my brother? _Keep calm Mr. Tallium, because what I have to tell will be part of your story too. _I don't see how. Tallium replied without interest. Krashiri continued to show great interest in Tallium's past. _And what happened on this planet, Your Highness? _Well, this is something that only my brother knows. _I also know sir. Krashiri said. _Why?? Tallium asked suspiciously. _Don't forget, royalty, that I am also an advisor to the emperor, among other things. A poor adviser among many, but sometimes, only sometimes the emperor listens to me and tells me some things too. _So why are you asking me questions that you probably already know the answer to? _Because the momentus [Momento.] Demands and I prefer to hear the version of your greatness. _It's ok. I was on the smallest ship in our fleet, or navette, as we called it. But she was the lightest, the fastest and also the most unarmed. It would take us no more than a few days to reach our destination. My brothers and I were so impatient that we decided to close the gap. _Actioning a jump in hyperspace? _Exact Krashiri. But unfortunately there was no one with us who was used to this maneuver. The navigational tracking system was deactivated and the galactic map was out of date. _As it was the spaceship of the emperor's personal use, it had not been programmed so that someone, except himself, could recalibrate his system of jumping in hyperspace. Since the emperor had f*******n jumping in our multiverse and he did not even want to take any chances, then he would not have to worry about having these items packed from his personal ship. _And even then still took risks? Krashiri had noticed that Tallium, with each advance of his story, showed more sadness, but he had to deepen his life as much as possible, so that when he told his story, Tallium was prepared to accept it too. _As you may know Krashiri, I never had the ability to create or over-empower [upgrade or overclock.] Inventions until recently, so it was not my intelligence that saved me from death. _I am not understanding anything or why this confession of your royalty. Krashiri said. _I explain. I had no idea what a teleporter was, nor that there was a prototype of it on the shuttle we were on. Of course, it wasn't my project, and I had no idea how it worked, because at the time, as I mentioned, I still didn't have my inventive genius. In fact, at first I didn't even know what it was. But before we set up the fateful jump in hyperspace, I overheard my brother talking about it. Curious, unbeknownst to them, I went to the cargo hold and there it was, a not-so-big device, but one that perfectly accommodated me inside it. Realizing that its control core was almost open, I forced the fragile cover and began to observe all that mess of wires, tubes and connections without making any sense to me. Curiously, I found a small room that was not part of the rest, imitating four cylinders that stood out, for being shiny and transparent. And inside each of these cylinders there was a kind of ring, apparently made of the same material as the cylinder. When I asked what it was, and what it was for, my brothers were embarrassed to explain it to me and told me that it was supposed to be a surprise for me and the emperor. _And what happened after that royalty? _I realized that shortly after each of them each had a ring with different insignia symbolizing the ramifications of the imperial family, the same rings that I had seen and commented on before. I don't know if it was out of jealousy or instinct, but the first time I found myself alone, I ran to where the device was, forced the fragile lid back on, opened the only cylinder that was left intact and took the remaining ring. _And what did that ring do your greatness? _I'm not sure, but it seemed to stimulate my brain, making me feel very intelligent, because as soon as I put it on one of my fingers, I felt a little shock running through my body and suddenly I knew everything about the teleporter, its components, its flaws and how I could improve it to work perfectly. I went to where my brothers were and told them that the device was now going to work properly and that their wishes would be fulfilled. They didn't seem to like what I thought would be good news. But anyway, because I am the most senior among them, they did not upset me at all.
