Just Like Normal

1080 Words
It had been several weeks since the battle on that distant planet. I had not sensed Sec and there had not been any new attack. Cloud assured me that I had wounded him badly but I also knew he was coming up with a plan. I just had to be ready for anything. Paul wanted me to interrogate the three men; Aero, V, and Edmund but I wanted to play it cool. We had invited them to a grand feast on Callisto but V had insisted we go to Nem and join him there for the grand feast. I was reluctant but Paul and Maze told me to go forward with it. If it was his plan to lure me there, I would have my army and Cloud with me. They also said at least the fighting would be away from Callisto. I think they saw Callisto as the heart of the galaxy so they protected more than any other planet but this galaxy was mine to protect. These were all my people to keep safe. As soon as I agreed, we prepared for the feast and for any threat that might appear. Aero and Edmund met us on Nem. V was very happy to see me. He greeted us all as soon as we landed. I was a bit weary to be normal and act like one of these men wasn't playing a role and lying to me. They seemed to be good actors. They all acted just like normal, they were polite, kind, and caring. Well V was polite but he was sarcastic and flirty as always. "You look as lovely as ever, my king," V said. I looked around to see all the annoyed expressions in the room. "Thank you," I was wearing an icy blue tight strapless gown with a slit on the front. It had a long skirt wrapped around the waist like a coat. We all talked in his throne room before dinner. I was trying really hard to uncover the traitor but they all had warm inviting smiles. "How are Diamond and Emerald?" I asked Aero. "They are great, I think they miss you," he said. I smiled and felt nothing malicious about him. I continued talking to everyone for a few minutes but when no one was looking V dragged me to his ice garden. "It is unfair you could not come alone," he said. I did not answer him. "I would say let's get in but I know our guest will just interrupt us." He was gesturing to the hot spring. I always felt safe with V but he was very hard to read. I never knew if his interests were solely in me, my body, or my powers. Maybe if he had it his way he would get all three. He walked closer to me. I was beginning to tremble. He caressed my cheek and then brushed my lower lip with his thumb. "I wish we could continue where we left off," he said smoothly. "You ran off with no explanation and left me wanting more." I tried to get out of his grip but it was no use. My body became weak under his touch. "Let me go V," I demanded. He just gave me this seductive smile and kissed me forcibly. I didn't want to kiss him back at first but I felt my body crave his. I returned his kiss and felt his tongue pushed past my closed lips and enter mine. I felt his hand moved down to my slit. Being with V always felt wrong but right. I was never worried about being hurt and I never looked at him the way others would but he had a power that was destructive and he could be a danger if he wanted to. "Alexandria," I heard Cloud call. "V, stop," I said. "Why?" he questioned. "I know you want me to continue." I slapped his hands and ran back to the throne room. "CLOUD!" I called out. "Yeah," he said. "Weren't you looking for me," I said. "No," he replied. "You didn't call out my name?" I asked. "No, why, what's wrong?" he asked. "Nothing," I said confused. I could have sworn I heard Cloud call me. We all sat down to have dinner. I made sure I sat furthest away from V. He gave me flirty glances from time to time so I stopped looking at him all together. Edmund was unusually quiet today. I know he was reserved but this was different. After dinner, I asked Edmund to take a walk with me. "Are you okay?" I asked him. "Yes, of course," he said. "How are things?" I asked again. "Good, I was sorry to hear about the palace fire," he said. "Yeah, it was terrible," I frowned. "Hey, it will be okay, I know you will repair it in no time and it will be better than before." Edmund lifted my head up and looked into my eyes. "I know you have put on hold this choice but I want you to know I am still interested and willing to be your king." Edmund kissed me softly and it sent shivers down my spine. It was electrifying but yet not as intense as any kiss I have with V. This kiss almost felt forced even if it did feel good. He quickly took his lips off mine as soon as he noticed I wasn't responding. "I am sorry, Alexandria," he said. "No, it's okay, I was just taken off guard," I told him. He came closer and brushed a strand of my hair away from my face. "I feel my life as intertwined with yours for a reason." "Or it was all in elaborate plan set by my grandfather's brother," I thought. I looked into Edmunds's eyes and saw so much pain and sadness. "It's okay and maybe you are right," I told him. "We are now intertwined by destiny."  I knew no matter who the traitor was our fate was to be the same. I closed the distance between us and kissed Edmund slowly when suddenly Maze ran towards us. "Sire, we have terrible news," "What is it?" I asked urgently. "Come inside now." Edmund and I ran back inside. I looked over at Venus and Samantha. They were crying and Cloud and Paul were angry. "Sire, Callisto was destroyed and completely obliterated," Paul said. "NO! IT CAN'T BE!!!" I cried out.
