Savage Seventeen
Chapter One
Breath of Life
One afternoon, the pulsating beat of the music filled the air, vibrating through every corner of the house as Dabere and Kamsy danced with reckless abandon in the living room. Their laughter mingled with the melody, their movements fluid and free as they let the music carry them away.
🎼oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
All I know, all I know,
Loving you is a losing game
🎼A broken heart is all that's left
I'm still fixing all the cracks
‘Lost a couple of pieces when
I carried it, carried it, carried it home.
But as the sound of their mother's car pulling into the driveway echoed through the house, the twins froze in terror. With wide eyes, they exchanged a panicked glance before rushing to the stereo to silence the music.
"Quick, turn it off!" Dabere hissed, her heart pounding in her chest as she fumbled with the controls.
Kamsy nodded frantically, her hands shaking as she hit the power button, plunging the room into sudden silence. With practiced efficiency, they darted to their respective rooms, hoping to avoid their mother's wrath.
Just as they settled onto their beds and opened their textbooks, their mother's footsteps echoed down the hallway. Dabere's heart raced as she forced herself to focus on the words in front of her, praying that her mother wouldn't suspect a thing.
The door creaked open, and their mother's stern voice filled the room. "What have I told you about playing music so loudly when I'm not home?"
Dabere and Kamsy glanced up, feigning innocence as they plastered on their most angelic smiles. "Sorry, Mom," Kamsy said, her voice dripping with false sincerity. "We just got carried away."
Their mother's eyes narrowed suspiciously, but she seemed to accept their explanation for the moment. "Well, keep it down next time. I don't want to have to remind you again."
"We will, Mom," Dabere promised, her heart still racing from the narrow escape.
Their mother lingered for a moment longer, her gaze lingering on them before she finally turned and left the room, closing the door behind her. As soon as she was gone, Dabere and Kamsy let out a collective sigh of relief, slumping back against their pillows.
"That was close," Dabere whispered, her voice trembling with adrenaline.
Kamsy nodded in agreement, her heart still pounding in her chest. "We need to be more careful. Mom can't find out about our secret dance parties."
Dabere grinned mischievously, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Agreed. But you have to admit, it's worth the risk. There's nothing like dancing to your favorite music at full volume."
Some years back, fate brought two souls together, destined to intertwine in love and matrimony. It was at a bustling market where Mr. and Mrs. Ezemmuoka first crossed paths, their chance encounter sparking a flame that would burn brightly for years to come.
Mr. Ezemmuoka, a charismatic businessman with a heart of gold, was drawn to the gentle energy of the market as he perused the stalls in search of fresh produce. Meanwhile, Mrs. Ezemmuoka, a kind-hearted Lecturer with a vibrant demeanor, was on her way home from a long day at the school when their paths collided.
Their eyes met across the crowded marketplace, and in that instant, they knew that they were meant to be together. Their courtship was a whirlwind of laughter and love, their differences complementing each other in perfect harmony. And when Mr. Ezemmuoka dropped to one knee and presented Mrs. Ezemmuoka with a sparkling diamond ring, she knew without a doubt that she had found her soulmate.
Their wedding was a joyous affair, a celebration of love and unity as family and friends gathered to witness their union. And as they exchanged vows beneath the African sun, they pledged to love and cherish each other for all eternity.
In the years that followed, their love only grew stronger as they welcomed their twin daughters, Kamsy and Dabere, into the world. From the moment they were born, it was clear that the girls were two peas in a pod, identical in appearance but with personalities as different as night and day.
Kamsy, the firstborn, was her mother's mini-me, with her bright and cheerful nature and compassionate heart. She had a wild strength about her, a resilience that belied her delicate frame. From a young age, she struggled with asthma, a condition that required constant care and attention. Despite the challenges, she faced it with grace and courage, her spirit unbroken by the limitations of her illness.
Dabere, on the other hand, was a carbon copy of her father, with his boldness but gentle pirit. She was always quiet and calm. She adored her father and reveled in his attention, basking in the warmth of his love and approval.
As the girls grew older, their differences became more pronounced. Dabere was content to spend her days lost in the pages of a book, while Kamsy longed for excitement and adventure. Dabere preferred the quiet solitude of nature. She also loves bright colours, while Kamsy loved being popular and well-known. She talks alot and loves making friends. She loves dull colours.
Despite their contrasting personalities, the twins shared a deep bond that nothing could break. They were each other's confidantes, their rock in times of trouble, their unwavering support through thick and thin. And as they navigated the ups and downs of life together, they knew that they were stronger together than they could ever be apart.
But for all their similarities and differences, there was one thing that weighed heavily on Dabere's heart: her sister's asthma. She watched with a heavy heart as Kamsy struggled to catch her breath, her chest tightening with every wheeze. She longed to take away her sister's pain, to erase the burden of her illness and set her free.
And so, as she lay in bed at night, listening to the sound of her sister's labored breathing, Dabere made a silent wish to the stars above. She wished with all her heart that Kamsy never had asthma, that she could live a life free from the constraints of her illness.
But as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, Dabere knew that some wishes were too big for even the brightest stars to grant. All she could do was protect and love her sister fiercely, with every fiber of her being, and hope that their bond would be enough to carry them through whatever challenges life threw their way.

In the glamorous world of fashion and beauty, the Ezemmuoka twins, Dabere and Kamsy, were models. From the moment they entered the world, their identical appearance captivated the hearts of photographers and designers alike. With their cherubic faces and almond-shaped eyes, they were the epitome of perfection, destined for the spotlight.
As babies, they graced the covers of magazines and starred in countless advertising campaigns, their faces adorning billboards and television screens around the world. Their unique appeal made them highly sought-after in the fashion industry, and their parents eagerly embraced the opportunity to capitalize on their daughters' natural beauty.
But as the years passed and the twins grew older, their paths diverged in unexpected ways. While Kamsy embraced the world of modeling with open arms, relishing the attention and adoration that came with it, Dabere began to question the shallow nature of the industry.
One fateful day, as they lounged in their luxurious penthouse apartment overlooking the city skyline, Kamsy excitedly scrolled through her social media feeds, her eyes alight with excitement. "Look at this, Dabere!" she exclaimed, thrusting her phone in her sister's direction. "I just hit one million followers on i********:! Can you believe it?"
Dabere glanced at the screen, her expression unreadable. "That's great, Kamsy," she said, her tone lacking enthusiasm. "But you know I'm not really into all that social media stuff."
Kamsy frowned, her brow furrowing in confusion. "But why not? You have just as much potential as I do! We're identical twins, Dabere. People love that kind of thing."
Dabere sighed, her gaze drifting out the window to the bustling city below. "I know, Kamsy. But modeling just isn't my passion anymore. I want to do something meaningful with my life, something that makes a difference in the world."
Kamsy's eyes widened in disbelief. "But modeling is meaningful, Dabere! We have the power to inspire people, to make them feel beautiful and confident. And besides, it pays incredibly well. Why would you give that up?"
Dabere shook her head, her resolve firm. "Because it's not enough, Kamsy. I want to use my voice for something more than just selling clothes or makeup. I want to make a real impact, to leave behind a legacy that lasts long after I'm gone."
Kamsy's shoulders slumped in defeat, her disappointment evident in her voice. "I just don't understand, Dabere. We have everything we could ever want right at our fingertips. Why would you throw it all away?"
Dabere reached out and took her sister's hand, squeezing it gently. "I'm not throwing anything away, Kamsy. I'm just choosing a different path, one that feels right for me.
Kamsy nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of her sister's decision. "Of course, Dabere.
As the days turned into weeks and then months, Kamsy's career skyrocketed to new heights, her face gracing the covers of prestigious fashion magazines and her social media following growing by the millions. She became a household name, a symbol of beauty and elegance in the eyes of the public. She called herself The Charisma Queen.
During the holidays, Dabere would go about her own charity activities, while Kamsy would spend hours in the company modeling.
But despite her success, there was a shadow that lingered in Kamsy's heart, a longing for the sister she had left behind. She missed Dabere's laughter, her warmth, her unwavering support. And as she posed for yet another photo shoot, surrounded by the trappings of wealth and fame, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing.
Meanwhile, Dabere threw herself into her newfound passion with unbridled enthusiasm painting her heart out in each brush stroke. She found fulfillment in helping others who also loved painting by gifting expensive art supplies.
The Ezemmuoka twins, Kamsy and Dabere, approached their Seventeenth birthday, anticipation hung in the air like a palpable force. For weeks, they had eagerly awaited the arrival of this milestone, their excitement mounting with each passing day. And now, as the day drew near, they could hardly contain their excitement.
On their birthday eve, they scrolled through their messages, their eyes widened in delight as they came across the long-awaited birthday photoshoot images. Kamsy's heart swelled with pride as she admired the images of herself, resplendent in her designer outfits, exuding confidence and grace. She had chosen muted, earthy tones colors that spoke of sophistication and elegance, her signature style shining through in every shot.
Beside her, Dabere beamed with excitement as she flipped through her own set of photos, her eyes sparkling with joy. She had opted for bold, vibrant colors that complemented her radiant personality, her outfits reminiscent of a modern-day princess. With her infectious smile and boundless energy, she lit up the screen in every frame.
“Omg! These are so beautiful. Kam, you look so bossy… like a girl boss!” Dabere said.
“And you look like an adorable little puppy” Kamsy replied.
“Hey! That's not true” Dabere slightly frowned.
“You wanna bet”
“I'm not ready to argue, okay? ”
“Let's show Mom and Dad and hear their thoughts”
They both headed to their parents bedroom. Excited chatter filled the house as they both argued that their parents must make a choice. But as they excitedly made plans for the day ahead, their mother's voice rang out from behind, her tone hesitant and uncertain."Angels, can I speak with you for a moment?"
Curious, Kamsy and Dabere exchanged puzzled glances before turning towards their mother who stood with a troubled expression on her face.
"What's wrong, Mom?" Kamsy asked, her brow furrowing in concern.
Their mother hesitated for a moment before speaking, her voice tinged with apprehension. "I've been thinking about your birthday party, angels. With Kamsy's asthma and everything..."
Kamsy's heart sank as she realized what her mother was implying. "You don't want to have the party, do you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Their mother sighed, her shoulders slumping in resignation. "I just worry, Kamsy. Your health is the most important thing, and I don't want to take any chances."
Dabere's eyes flashed with determination as she stepped forward, her voice filled with conviction. "But Mom, we've been looking forward to this day for years! We can't let Kamsy's asthma stop us from celebrating in style."
Kamsy's heart swelled with gratitude as she looked at her sister, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "She's right, Mom. I've dreamed of having party for as long as I can remember. I can't let my asthma hold me back from living my life."
Their mother hesitated for a moment, torn between her fear for Kamsy's health and her desire to make her daughters happy. But as she looked into their determined eyes, she knew that she couldn't deny them this moment of joy.
With a sigh, she relented, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Alright, angels, Let's make this a birthday to remember."
And so, the plans for the twins' sweet sixteen party were set into motion, with Kamsy and Dabere at the helm, determined to make it a celebration to remember. With their mother's cautious approval, they spared no expense, transforming their penthouse apartment into a glittering wonderland fit for royalty.
At 12 midnight , Kamsy's boyfriend, Jake called to wish her on birthday. They recently started their relationship, right after Kamsy broke up with Nnamdi Ezegide. Nnamdi was one of the popular and smartest kids at school. He dated Kamsy for three years. They were really into each other. But, at last their relationship ended. Jake quickly approached Kamsy, who accepted him. Rumors had it that Kamsy was dating Jake to make Nnamdi jealous.
On the day of the party, Kamsy and Dabere stood in front of the mirror, admiring their reflection in their dark green strapless gowns. The fabric flowed elegantly around their figures, and their long gloves added an air of sophistication. With their hair styled into long goddess braids, they felt like goddesses themselves.
“We look good, but it would have great if Mom didn't insist on the makeup being as light as a feather”Kamsy said.
“It's almost eight o’clock. Hurry up we shouldn't be late for our own party” Dabere replied .
As they made their final touches, the excitement buzzed in the air. Tonight was their birthday party, and they were determined to make it an exquisite affair. Their friends would be there, as well as some juniors and seniors who admired Kamsy's popularity.
Kamsy and Dabere's joint birthday party was about to unfold. The air was filled with anticipation as guests began to arrive, greeted by ushers who led them through a grand entrance adorned with cascading flowers and twinkling lights.
Inside, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as friends and family mingled, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the twins. Kamsy and Dabere stood at the top of a grand staircase, their dark green gowns flowing around them like a waterfall of emerald silk. Their long goddess braids swayed gently with each step, adding an air of regal elegance to their appearance.
"Are you nervous?" Dabere asked, her voice tinged with excitement as she adjusted the delicate lace on her gown.
Kamsy flashed her a confident smile. "Not at all. This is going to be epic."
Dabere nodded, a mixture of nerves and excitement bubbling inside her. “ Let's make this entrance one for the books."
With a final glance at each other, the twins descended the staircase, their movements slow and deliberate, as if savoring every moment of their grand entrance. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to them, captivated by their beauty and poise.
Whispers of admiration rippled through the crowd as the twins made their way through the room, greeting guests with warmth and grace. It was a moment of pure magic, as if time had stood still to admire the sheer magnificence of the twins' entrance.
As they reached the bottom of the staircase, the room erupted into applause, the sound echoing off the walls in a crescendo of celebration. The twins basked in the adoration of their guests, their smiles radiant and their hearts full.
"You both look absolutely stunning," exclaimed their friend, Ifeoma, her eyes shining with admiration.
Kamsy laughed, "Thank you, Ifeoma”.
"You both look breathtaking," exclaimed their classmate, Lotanna, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "I've never seen anything like it."
Kamsy smiled warmly, her heart swelling with pride. "Thank you, Lotanna."
"Kamsy, Dabere, you look so gorgeous," remarked Kamsy's boyfriend, Jake, as he hugged Kamsy tightly. "I can't believe how amazing this party is going to be."
"We're so glad you could make it, Jake," Kamsy replied, returning the hug with equal enthusiasm. "
"This is surreal," whispered Dabere, her eyes shining with emotion as she looked out at the sea of smiling faces before them.
Kamsy nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude. "It truly is. And it's all thanks to our incredible friends and family."
Everyone was standing, clapping and making a little noise as the emcee had instructed. We both cut their sizeable birthday cake. Kamsy walked up to Dabere “ Happy birthday, Dabby”
“Happy birthday to you, sis”
