Mackenzie got up and decided she needed to get out of the apartment so she could think. Everything was so overwhelming and she felt as though her brain would explode if she didn't take some time to herself. One amenity her building had that she took advantage of was the roof garden. The little old ladies in her building had a garden club and twice a week they would go up there to tend to it. Mackenzie just so happened to be a member of said garden club which meant she had roof access. "Eli, I need to step out for a bit. Will you be ok? Do you need anything?" She inquired. All she got was a nod from Eli. He was engrossed with something on the internet. She took a quick shower, dressed in her favorite Grey yoga pants and her anime hoodie, grabbed her keys and made her way to the roof.
The night air was perfect. Being away from Eli helped because whenever she caught his scent in the air her brain shutdown. She walked to the middle of the garden, right where the orange tress and roses were planted. The gardeners had made an adorable little pathway with seats specifically for the purpose that Mackenzie was currently using it for; meditation. The scent of the roses and oranges collided to make the air on the roof inviting. She breathed deep, closed her eyes and began to process everything that had happened in the past few days. Mackenzie felt as though the was she had been living was just a placeholder for the life she was about to live. Her entire existence had been the same drab routine for so long. It's not that she was unhappy with the washer life was going but she always felt that she was settling. She was always playing it safe and always doing the right thing. Now it was time fore her to go and really live. Mackenzie now began to think about her grandparents. What kind of people were they? Do they know what happened to her parents? Just so many questions that needed answers.
Mackenzie thought back to the day Eli touched her for the first time and the memories that she experienced. She saw a beautiful garden and it was like a fairy tale. Roses, tulips, daffodils, peonies, and any other flower you could think of grew there. Hummingbirds and and butterflies were everywhere and made it even more dream like. The woman in her memory looked a lot like her. She sang a song in a language that Mackenzie couldn't understand. There was also a man there just off to the side and he looked at the woman as though his world began and ended with her. They were the most beautiful people she had ever seen. The memory gradually started to change and next thing she knew, they were being engulfed in fire. She can see the man struggling to pull the woman from some debris that had fallen. She could only watch, helplessly, as the man let go of the woman's body and ran to snatch Mackenzie away before the building went ablaze.
She opened her eyes and her face was wet with tears because she knew in her heart of hearts that she had witnessed the death of her mother and her father's desperate struggle to free her. She just didn't know how to process what she had just seen. It only brought more questions to her mind. Her father had to be alive somewhere. She realized sitting around was no way to get any of her questions answered. Mackenzie quickly gathered herself and ran across the roof, back to stairs, and down to her apartment where she found Eli naked. He was fresh from the shower and all thought left her brain. Him in his birthday suit just did something to her. It was as though she couldn't resist him. His unique scent permeated the air. It was like the best aphrodisiac. She immediately became wet and her canines ripped from her gums like they were possessed. She ran to him and jumped him. He didn't have time to catch himself and they landed on her small loveseat. She didn't have a sofa cause her tiny apartment wouldn't allow it. She yanked her clothes off and in the process, she destroyed them. They basically disintegrated in her hands. Mackenzie could only assume it was her vampire strength coming in line. She straddled Eli, grabbed his face and kissed him like she hadn't just seen him an hour prior. She then softly like his neck and continued to taste his skin until her hunger could no longer be denied. She struck and his blood hit her like a shot of good tequila. It made her giddy. It made her horny. It made her crazy. She loved every minute of it. Mackenzie released her bite and again explored Eli's body with her tongue. His eyes were the color of obsidian and gleamed just as bright. She couldn't look away as she took his d**k her mouth and began to take him into her as far as she could. It was so thick and so long that she still had to use both of her hands to grip near the base. She stroked him and sucked until she felt him grip her and pull her up to straddle him once again. He enter her in one smooth glide and at the same time his fangs pierced her neck and she screamed. The orgasm was so intense that she had no choice but to vocalize the intensity.
Eli released his fangs from her neck and just held her. He let her just come down from the rush. When he felt he could speak he said, "Well damn, if that's how I will get greeted then we sure can see where this goes!" Mackenzie could only laugh when she said, "I am so sorry. I just don't know what came over me. It's like you have a magnetic pull just for me." She actually liked the fact that he was in her space. She had finally taken the tarps and rags and thrown them away and had finally put the beautiful white down set she had purchased years ago on her bed. She enjoyed the change and it felt like they fit. She knew only time would be able to tell her that. Now that she was finally able to think straight, she needed to get down to business. "Eli, I really need to speak with my grandparents. How soon can we go to meet them? I have so many questions that need answers and I think the only way to get them is to speak with them, " Mackenzie pleaded. "No worries. We can leave tomorrow evening. I spoke to them while you were gone. They are so excited to see you. We can leave at sunset but in the meantime it is still early in the evening. What would you like to do?" he asked.
Mackenzie could barely believe her ears. Was he asking her on a real date? If so the she really needed to get her act together. She thought about some of the nearby hotspots and decided that a comedy club would be perfect. Eli seemed to have a great sense of humor and she wanted to test it. "There is a comedy club not far from here that we can check out, " she suggested. Eli agreed and they showered together. It was the most natural thing in the world. Mackenzie could only smile as she slid into a red strapless A-line dress that hit just above the knee. It had little black and white roses stitched into the hem. She paired that with some black sparkly high heeled Mary Janes. Her hair had always been her favorite feature. It was jet black and wavy and super easy to manage. She decided to wear it down and pulled they sides back with some simple silver pins. A touch of gloss and mascara and she was more than ready. After the shower, Eli had gone back to his apartment to get dressed. When he knocked on the door, Mackenzie was excited for him to see her because she rarely got to get dressed up but when she opened the door, her jaw dropped. That man could where burlap sack and make it look good. Mackenzie had no idea what designer he was wearing but she knew the clothes had to be expensive. His shirt was a steel grey with a slight sheen to it and he had paired this with a pair of navy slacks that Mackenzie just knew were bespoke. His shoes were a maple brown leather that matched his belt. The watch he wore finished the look. It was silver with one tiny diamond to mark twelve. He could have been on a billboard modeling for whatever company made the watch because he made it look that good. "You look good enough to eat," Eli crooned. Mackenzie blushed and said, "you clean up pretty nice yourself. Let's go." As she walked into the night air, she realized that things were finally moving forward.
