A Pitiless Love by Perry Brass When I think back on it, the story of how I met Morris Hartman—the name I’ll give him—seems both a revelation to me, and incredibly simple. In 1999 I published a book called How to Survive Your Own Gay Life: An Adult Guide to Love, s*x, and Relationships. It was my first nonfiction book, after publishing ten books of either fiction or poetry, and it came from a lifetime of being gay as well as involved with the more radical aspects of the gay movement before it became taken over by corporations and LGBT careerism. It was, in short, a book about opening up your heart and self to other men; offering a queer soup-to-nuts menu from initially meeting other guys to meeting your own deeper self and taking care of that emerging adult self in various trying situation
