The Queen's Homecoming (Sequel to Two Alphas Love Me)

ZARA’S POV “Ours.”  Both of them said together and without any warning one of them dipped his head in the left side of my neck and placed a chaste kiss near the joint of my shoulder and neck which made my whole body tremble with pleasure. He continued licking and kissing the same spot and then before I knew it his sharp canines pierced my skin and a scream erupted from my throat which soon got converted into a moan due to pleasure. _______________ I jolted awake from the weird yet tingly dream. My whole body felt like it was on fire as I recalled my dream. It became a continuous habit, everyday since last week I started getting weird dreams about me and two other people. I never got the chance to see anyone's face and honestly it was starting to annoy me to no extent. How is it possible to have them in my dreams if I never saw them? I rubbed my eyes and removed the duvet off me while sitting on the edge of the bed with my legs hanging out.  “Thank God you are awake.” I looked up and saw my mom standing there with a stern expression. I gave her a sheepish smile while she narrowed her eyes at me. “Are you planning on going to school or not?” I tilted my head in confusion and she pointed at the clock that read 7:37. Shit!! “Exactly. Now get ready before you get late.” I nodded and jumped from my bed and headed straight towards the bathroom. Quickly brushing my teeth and taking a quick shower, I wore a full sleeved oversized beige colour shirt and white ripped jeans. Quickly drying my hair and tying them in a high ponytail, I put on my white sneakers. I put a little lip balm and threw my bag over my shoulder while getting out of my room.  “Bye mama. I am leaving.” “Wait, have something first.” “Mama I am getting late.” “And whose fault is that?” With a slight groan I turned around and my mom handed me a sandwich and an apple. It's the twenty-second century and people still have the same breakfast menu.  “Wait, aren’t you missing someone?” “Who?” She raised an eyebrow and I remembered my friend Nadine. “Right. Where is she?” “She left at 7:20 saying that she had to collect some books from the library.” Nodding once again, I got out of the house but not before hearing my mom screaming. “Be safe and don’t get in any trouble.” I shook my head at her with a smile on my face and headed towards my school. It was my last year and exams are gonna start next month.  I will be eighteen at last.  Legally an adult.  Not that I am dying to be an adult. Honestly if it was up to me I would remain a kid all my life. I mean kids have such a peaceful life. They can sleep anytime, play all day, annoy anyone and get away without being punished. In short, my dream life. “Zara!!” I jumped a little, startled by the sudden voice and looked ahead of me to see Nadine waving her hand at me while jogging my way.  She gave me a hug which I returned as we made our way towards the Westview Academy.  We were talking and giggling like typical teenagers when someone who definitely wasn’t appreciated by me appeared in front of us. “Hey Zara.” I looked at him and forced a smile and replied, “Hey Karl. You need something?” “Ahm,” he rubbed the back of his neck and looked at me through his lashes. “I wanted to ask whether you will be my partner during dance class?” “Karl I am not good-" “That’s alright. I can teach you.” Looking at Nadine who was glaring at Karl and then looking back into his hopeful eyes, I murmured half heartedly,  “Fine.” A huge smile appeared on his face as he thanked me and left. “Why did you say yes?” “And why should I have said no?” She rolled her eyes at me and hit my head a little. “Are you blind? The guy seriously likes you. What if he tries to do something while you guys are dancing?” “Relax Nadine. I know how to defend myself.” The very moment the bell rang, indicating the commencement of classes. I held onto Nadine’s hand as we made our way towards our first class.  **** Not do anything.  My foot. I was very angry but had to remain calm in order to think straight. The guy had the audacity to touch me inappropriately while saying and I quote, ‘Zara I like you. A lot. I have an inner feeling telling me that we are mates, we are destined to be. I can’t wait to make you mine after your eighteenth birthday.’ I swear to all the Gods above that I would have broken his hand if not for the teachers and students around.  “Do you want me to punch the i***t for you?” I looked at my best friend Nadine and rolled my eyes while shaking my head negatively.  She caught my wrist and stopped us in mid track, her eyes narrowed in accusation and she asked, “Why not?" I sighed and said, “You know we can’t do that because with him having more connections with the superiors he will get out and we will be the one in trouble.” This time she rolled her eyes at me. “Seriously? Zara I could see him drooling with his eyes on you. The p*****t needs to be taught a lesson. How many times have you told him not to come close to you? Yet the i***t has the audacity to behave like a creepy stalker wherever we go and to top it all, he thinks YOU are HIS MATE?! Oh dear lord, the guy has lost it.” I sighed but stayed quiet. Even though I knew and saw the way Karl looked at me, I always pushed it aside, not wanting to make a huge fuss out of it. Our graduation was soon and finally he would be out of my life. Karl might have a shitty personality but every girl in the school fell for his looks. He tried to get me to talk to him a lot of times since we turned fifteen but I always found a way to ignore him. Nadine didn’t miss a single chance of insulting him on his face but damn the boy still had guts to continue with his actions.  He was a half blood, which means he is half vampire and half human unlike me and Nadine. Yes, the world knows about supernaturals way before we were born and honestly speaking they are not all that bad.  Just like how all human beings aren’t good, the same way all the supernatural aren’t bad either. In today’s world many humans were mated to different supernatural beings which according to me was quite fascinating.  Whenever a human turns eighteen a grand party was thrown for everyone that resides in the particular area. Supernaturals are also invited and it’s really fun. I had attended most of my neighbours eighteenth birthday parties and a few of them were mated while the others weren’t.  I mean the thought of having someone who can love you, cherish you and look at you like you are the most precious thing in the world, then I don’t know what better thing I should ask for.  “You know he is gonna stop all that ones he finds his real mate.” “Oh god, I am going to pray for the girl who he is gonna be paired with.” She tried to say it as a whisper but I heard it loud and clear. I gave her a side look as we entered my home.  There were electric busses but we like to walk around and get some fresh air.  “Mama we are home.” “In the kitchen, liebling.”  We are german but the hilarious thing is that I am really weak at it even though it’s my birth language. Mama never focused on teaching me much german and I don’t know why. Even my name isn’t of german origin and when I ask them why I was named so all my mom replies with was, ‘Everything will be clear when the right time comes.’ She sometimes sounds like a priest to me but God I love her more than anything. “Hey, mama.” “Hello, my prinzessin.”  She said while placing a sweet kiss on my forehead. “No kisses for me?” Rolling my eyes at Nadine's antics, I went and sat on the chair kept vacant by the table as mama chuckled and placed a kiss on her forehead too. Nadine’s parents worked for the council so she mostly stays with me and my family and we are more than okay with it.  The council doesn’t contain just humans or only supernaturals, instead it has all the species in equal numbers. There are mainly three councils across the world. The statum, The continentibus and The orbis.  Each of the words are derived from latin as most supernatural beings learnt to speak latin first which still continues till this day.  The statum, which means the state council, is where the Alphas, lords and many human ministers give their words and propositions about rules and new development strategies.  The continentibus, which means the continental council includes the most powerful Alpha, Lord, devil etc… in that particular continent. The humans which are included in this council are mainly the army generals. The orbis, which means the world council includes all the different kings from each species. This is the highest council and all the important decisions are taken there. Humans which are the founders of any social organization are a part of it.  Nadine’s parents are in the continentibus, they are humans and work for the army.  No wonder Nadine got her tough attitude from them.  “Mama when is dad returning from his trip?” Dad works for an architect company which often take him to different places, you can say that half of his year he remains busy touring the world.  “Tonight prinzessin.” Nodding my head mindlessly, I went to take an apple when mama swatted my hand. “Ouch, what was that for?” She raised an eyebrow and with her hands on her hips, trying to behave intimidating. “Go take a shower by the time I finish making your lunch.” Pouting a little but nonetheless I went towards my room and Nadine went into hers which was right beside mine. My room wasn’t all that decorative. It was white and grey in colour. The wall behind the bed had a hint of beige whereas the side walls had patterns made with grey. There was a huge balcony in the room which had numerous plants like aloe vera, peace lily and three potted orchids. Money plant and snake plant could be found in my kitchen as mama thought that they were lucky.  After having a warm cozy bath, all my sore muscles became relaxed. Wrapping a towel around myself,  I made my way out of the bathroom but the sudden chills stopped me dead on my track. I looked around and found the balcony door open. Huh? I thought I locked it.  Making my way towards it, I slightly peeked outside but found nothing other than the plants and with a shrug I closed the balcony door and went towards my closet. I put on a comfy shirt and my pyjamas and tied my hair in a messy bun. I got out and made my way towards the kitchen, completely unaware of a certain someone that was staring into my soul.   My already growling stomach growled a little more upon smelling the delicious food.  Hmm, food tasty food.  Digging in the heavenly dish kept in front of me, I was completely oblivious of the storm that the future was about to bring.
