Maddie’s POV:
‘Run’
I didn’t know where the thought came from but I knew it was the right thing to do. I realized quickly that there was something deeply evil coming right behind me, I didn’t know what it was neither did I know why I was being chased. I wondered how I got to the dark woods behind the Frederick mansion, when just not long ago, I was in bed with my self-acclaimed master. I kept running, frantically looking back to see who it was chasing me.
BANG! Oh no! I hit my ankle on the roots of an old maple tree. A terrifyingly familiar figure moved past me to stand in front of me. He had on the same Gothic clothes and ugly pointed black shoes, it was the old man at the auction who was outbidded by Darren. Now that I could see him closely, he had quite simply the most revolting face I had ever seen in my life. An almost perfect rectangular face with the blackest, meanest eyesthat look at me triumphantly,
‘You can’t keep running from me you filthy pet. You will be mine.’
I tried to get up and run when he attacked by moving close to me, biting me in my shoulder, tearing into my skin. I screamed in pain. I was writhing on the floor when all of a sudden he freed me, looking alert with fear in his eyes.
‘He grows aware, don’t think you have gotten away from me, I will be back.’
I woke to the sight of striking dark eyes that looked concerned; I stared at his mesmerizing eyes for a moment or two before he spoke
‘Are you alright?’, my master asked.
