Ellen POV
I was startled and reflexively pushed Axl. Axl's hand hit the table's edge and made quite a noise.
"Argh!" Axl groaned in pain.
"Axl?" I screeched.
Katty immediately approached Axl and touched his hand.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
Axl immediately hid his hand and acted as if nothing had happened.
"Nothing," Axl replied. "Let's have dinner soon. I've been hungry since before."
Axl sat down and ignored his hand. I felt so guilty but couldn't force Axl to show his pain. Why was he like that? He should have just told me it hurt. Or he could have scolded me like he used to.
"Why are you guys so quiet? I'm hungry. Didn't anyone hear you?" Axl grumbled instead. "If you guys don't eat, I'll eat myself."
Katty sighed. She immediately sat next to Axl. Meanwhile, I chose to sit in
