After looking for firewood, Poland, Kurt, and Axl returned to the campsite. I saw John Smith walking around observing the students' activities. I glanced at Axl, and he didn't show me any particular expression.
We piled firewood on the field. Some students immediately built a fireplace for the bonfire later that night.
"Are you looking for firewood, Axl?" Mr Smith asked his son.
"Don't you see?" replied Axl.
I regretted Axl's rude reply to his father. But I didn't want to interfere. What happened to his dad and Axl was none of my business.
I helped build the fireplace instead of getting involved with Axl and his dad.
