Ellen POV
I stood in front of the mirror, sighing many times. I felt unsettled after leaving Axl after he helped me. Guilt rose within me. Did my words sound harsh to him?
"Ellen, dinner!" Poland called me.
I quickly left the room. Poland ordered pizza, and this was our dinner. I quickly took a slice and ate it. I didn't realize that Poland was watching me.
"You have something to hide from me, Ellen," Poland said.
I rolled my eyeballs, aiming at Poland. "What am I hiding from you?" I asked.
"Why did you run away from home? Why were you brought here by Axl? And why was Axl so cold when he dropped you off this afternoon?" Poland bombarded me with her questions.
