The escape

1002 Words
Sandy and prince Jath had for long fallen asleep right beside each other. The connection that soarked the comfortable atmosphere amongst themselves was rare and especially for Sandy. She wasn't the type to always get attention from strangers. So it was convenient for her to fall asleep as they both laid. Meanwhile, the prison was being raided by the very people who they longed to see. But there they were deeply asleep as Lord Nathan yelled out for Prince Jath and had no response. The prison castle was so mighty and shallow that one could easily get lost. Before they could search all through the cells and go through every stairs, twist and turns, the army of the Pacific city will reinforce and come charging them. And at such situation, it will be difficult for Lord Nathan to the whole army he ad with him to fend off such attack. He yelled out louder for Prince Jath and he had no response. Prince Jath was forced to wake up after several calls by Lord Nathan... He woke Sandy up and sat to listen to confirm if what he heard what right from inside the castle or his head in his dreams. Once again he could hear echoes of Lord Nathan calling him. "Over here!!!!.... Over here!!!..." He yelled back. He rose up and Sandy joined him to the prison gates to make noises and scream back. Lord Nathan. Could help the shackles and screams from up above. They were yet to reach the floor where Sandy and Prince Jath were kept. The acolytes succeeded to break the lock on the prison cell to free Sandra flinnch and prince Jath. Sandy had a smile on but the prince wasn't the same. It seemed like he had changed mist he had seen a sword and freedom. He hurried the warriors to take him to meet Lord Nathan down the stairs. They both exchanged a hug as lord Nathan seemed happy to see him more than he was to be himself.  "I told you so. But you don't listen Jath, you never do" .. Lord Nathan said as the both exchange a stare.  "Now is not the time for this Sir, please. Where's Ibinabo and the rest?".. Prince Jath asked. As he thought they must have had ibinabo before now.  "I thought she was with you". Confusion spread through the room.  "Let's keep searching we would find her."..... Lord Nathan said.. they all ran across all corners and entrances through the whole castle in a hurry, searching for Sandy. While the Army of the Pacific city led by Jessiah were heading towards the castle. Some of the archers of the Atlantic empire were positioned outside the prison castle to stall their movements while the rest had enough time to find and rescue. Specific minutes has passed and it seemed they must have moved Ibinabo and the two other men with her to another another location and time wasn't up to anyone to figure it out. It was a difficult situation they had found themselves in especially for Lord Nathan and the Prince. They had reached the top of the castle and there was no trace of any other Prisoner except the ones who had committed crimes or captured in the Pacific city. There was chattering and clashes down the castle. The prince looked out the spacing on the wall from the top castle and saw that some of the warriors of Pacific were in a duel with their men by the gate to the prison's castle. "They are here, we don't have much time left. What do we do now?"... Prince Jath said looking up to Lord Nathan who rested his head on one of the pillars of the castle.... Staring at it too.... "Wait...the stairs are not complete, there are just 3 floors to this castle but the pillars are meant to carry more than 5 floors.".... Lord Nathan said. Pondering upon what he had just realized. Prince Jath had nothing to say as he was just as confided as the rest of the warriors there present who heard him. "There's a dungeon here. Three floors up two under. Let's go right now.!!"... Lord Nathan ordered. They all went from the top of the castle to the bottom floor and there was not a single clue to the path or door that would lead to the dungeon. The kept searching. A door like that shouldn't be in the open and also not too secret. They almost lost hope untill Sandy Stepped on a board-like surface. She brought it to the notice of everyone as she held a rusted iron hook on it and tried to pull it up open but it was a but too heavy for her to open it alone. Prince Jath and Desmond joined in and opened it up. There was a foul smell that came in as the plank door was lifted. There wasn't a visible stairs to lead anyone down there but beside where Sandy stood there was a rope.  A heavy hit on the gate was heard from the inside. "They are getting in, hurry up".... Prince Jath yelled for Ibinabo. The whole place was so dark and he couldn't see anything. He was brought a torch that hung on the castle wall as he waved it in, he saw corpses and bones laid scattered everywhere. He yelled one more time for Ibinabo and he heard a faint response from far off. "Here, I will come with you"... Desmond handed the rope attached to a hook on a wall to prince Jath and suggested to follow him into the dungeon. "Thank you, but I need you up here with the rest. If I need help, I will call for it"....  He climbed down the rope into the dungeon. Lord Nathan looked down and dropped the burning torch down to him and told him to be careful. The Prince nodded and took of to where the sound came from.
