A loud thunder clap hit the skies that vibrated the ship, Sandy got scared and looked up the drizzling skies, and she could see one of the sailor's hat float up in the sky with the wind navigating it. She smirked and kept staring up awaiting Grandpa's arrival. She loved watching the skies while the rain drops hit her face and wet her hair, She loved how cold it was up there and down here. suddenly a bright lightening ran across the sky that turned night to day in a split second but long enough for little Sandy to see the heavy dark clouds that was upon them. She quickly turned her face to avoid the temporal blindness from the bright light... She noticed the lightening run cross the waters and went up the sky again...it was a beauty to see but strange. She was left glarring at the sky in awe and when she brought her head down she was even more startled, she noticed the water glowing right underneath where she stood below her hook, she hesistated at first but then she hung on down and deeped her hand her in to grab this light but it was just a necklace and the blue light slowly dimed when she took it out of the water, and punched it in her pockets as she heard the Captain from behind calling on her.
Capt.murdock opened the door a little too late, he must have missed the sight but the vibration of the thunder clap was enough to make him hasten up to find Sandy outside the cabin.
"Sandy!!!!!, do you not know there's a storm coming?, come here Sweetheart go inside and wait for your mother, she'll be with you soon"...
"But I caught a fish, I could see it moved my hook, please." She begged.
The Captain gave a loud sigh and whispered a cuss between his breath and went ahead to kneel beside little Sandy to pull up her catch. He dropped his bottle of rum as the pull was not what he expected. "Well this is quite a catch you got here,". He said trying to pull up what he believed must be a big fish. Sandy was so excited to finally be able to bring forth something after countless tries.
Then came a voice from the other side of the ship,
"Captain! Captain!, there's a Tornado stir up ahead!!". One of the sailors yelled. The Captain immediately turned to check for the deck and Anchor leaving Sandy's strap to fall into the water. "Sorry kid, you have to come in now, run along!, the storm is nigh"... He apologized with an almost unapologetic gesture. Sandy turned to the ship's lower cabin and ran in. The Captain rushed in too and locked the door behind her then quickly opened it back to go grab his bottle of rum at the edge of the ship.
For some of the sailors who haven't been in a shelter since dawn, working the Anchor and down the drainge peddling, the temperature that night felt like it was at -0°celcius. Dead cold. only their bottle of rum could burn thier heart and keep thier blood warm enough to keep them from freezing in paralysis. The sea was quite two faced, Calm but then can be very Troubling.
The moving clouds turned dark, the wind is quite aggressive and the rain drops hit hard as tiny drops of pebbles falling on the faces of the seamen but the sea wasn't a place for remorse. "Float the Keg and heap the wheels ahead, if anyman goes overboard when the tides hits us, then it's most likely farewell boys. So brace yourselves"... The Captain saw that the hit was inevitable, but the captain wasn't really scared of death to do anything about it.
Slowly panic filled the Air, the once joyful cheers of gallant men quickly turned to gloomy shouts of commands and faint and hopeful replies of "Ayes" and the sailed straight into the storm and stir.
