What's real or what's not?

605 Words
Days past, moments came by and Sandra started to accept reality, or rather her new found reality and decided to adapt to the people and the things that used to surprise her started feeling random. After another long night, she woke up and she sat beside her bunk bed with the necklace in her hand staring at it. It was truly a beautiful piece of Ornament and the blue Crystal on it was so familiar, it was as if it was almost what Ibinabo's eye was made of the first she saw it and then the Emperor's staff seem to have had the same Crystal. She thought of all the possibilities of this world untill she was cut short by the presence of Ibinabo. Which as always startled her. She tried to conceal the necklace behind her bed but the space was a bit too tight to fit, so she kept her hand under knees to keep her from seeing it. "I thought the door was locked, how did you get in?."... Sandy asked but then realized it was one useless Question to ask someone who could teleport with ease. Ibinabo still never said a world. So she shook her head and asked her what she needed... Sandy felt a bit intruded. "Your training begins today Sandy. I believe you must be ready to learn, the best skilled swordsman in the kingdom will take charge of you".... Ibinabo said taking a walk towards Sandy, and then right past her to the small window, she stared out for a while and then turned away and walked right out of the room in a hurry. Sandy found Ibinabo strange and really Intriguing, she was like a rose picked out of desperation, her petals were torn a bit and she she was still left with her thorns. There was something about her that attracted Sandy and she was about to ask her but she seemed a bit in a hurry, so Sandy stood carefully concealing the necklace and then went to window pulled her bed right through so she can get a view, she saw men sailing in a mini boat dork at the shore, dressed in black with swords and helmets, they looked like some sort of mercenaries. She saw Ibinabo walk towards them, mumble a few words and they handed over a red scroll to her and they both turned away, while Ibinabo headed back to the gates, the Messengers went back to board their boat and return from whence the come. Meanwhile, Sandy was delighted to see that there was hope for her to escape this place, as she saw that there was life outside here and all she now needed was a boat or if she is lucky, a ship. Her curiosity as to the content of the scroll was what dragged Sandy all the way down in a rush to search for Ibinabo at the court yard where she received the men.  Sandy met Ibinabo standing, almost whispering to herself in disgust as she read through the scroll. "What is that, and who are those men?". The light in Ibinabo's eyes were drifting apart as she could be seen trying so hard not to flare up in Anger in response to Sandy's curiosity. "Go over there, and wait for the Prince. You must begin your training immediately, there's not enough time." She said , pointing towards a narrow path that lead to the battalion's camp where she would undergo her training. She left Sandy pondering to what extent her value to the empire was as it seems she was the most decorate warrior.
