904 Words
Few moments later the prince was seen heaping arrows from the weaponry that was set up in the camp in it's pouch, putting it across his back and sharpening swords and weighing shields to see which suits his arms best. Well apparently as it seems, The prince must have gone mad to think he would do all that alone without help or his inherent powers from the moon as he was out of the realm or was he rather pulling a charade to get the warriors attention so they could join him in his desirable quest to invade the Pacific sun city and take back his men. He was just like his father, brave, courageous and outstandingly good with his sword, he possessed the strength of a king and an essence of a sharp Spirit. He wasn't one to believe in moonlight tales and folklores but he was worthy of praise. He was the best Archer in the land and his bulls eye was more than accurate and that's how he earned his place amongst the royal army. Prince Jath Farooq as he was fondly addressed by council men and his father's allies. he is the future of the Atlantic Empire and the hier to the golden throne. It shouldn't be a matter of deliberation to allow him wedge war on a city in another realm all on his own while Lord Nathan and Ibinabo did nothing about it. The king might not only be disappointed in them if anything happened to him but he might also order to have their heads on a spike perhaps after having nightmares of his death. The Emperor was a good leader but a Savage and as vulnerable as he was when he was at his anger point. Thus, In a bid to talk him out of his determined decision, to avoid a chaos that might not be controlled and lives slain, Lord Nathan walked towards the tent room in a corner where the prince rested and caught up with some of the warriors he use to have duels with at the Empire. The discussion and laughter was cut short as Lord Nathan entered the scene. The two warriors who were with the prince stood up to show respect to the Lord and he nodded to them and asked for a moment with the prince alone. Both warriors picked up their swords and clothings like they knew the wouldn't come back to meet the prince there anymore. "Thank you". Lord Nathan acknowledge their fealty as they both exit the room for the Scholar and the young prince to have privy to themselves. "My prince, I trust that you have been through alot and this might not come off right but it's probably best that you think about your decision after a while as it seems like you seek revenge more than you desire to save your men. Perhaps when we sail back home when you can feel in power and maybe get counselling from the Emperor. For God's sake , you have been bruised and battered Jath. You need to rest!. Going into the city down there, we might not come back the same and that's not a smart decision. Please I'll court you to think this one out before you emerge into a war that we may not be able to fend off from this part of the world." Lord Nathan said with so little hope to change the prince's mind as he was already giving him a look of disbelief and arrogance. "How would you say I feel more of revenge than of remorse for my men!. This are my people, my guard and I will treat them as I would if it was you". He moved forward to the curtain and looked out to avoid the tension between him and Lord Nathan as they were too close... " Tell me, if you were held captive by this men Lord Nathan, brutes and as gruesome as they were, Would you let me go and feel comfortable in your grief?".... Prince Jath said turning yo look at him this time. "Yes, yes if it would cause more lives than mine. I would gladly lay down my life to save the others my prince. Do not be tricked to believe the bird you saw for anyone might have sent it or let it fly. This men might be dead, or might have sold you out and you also might just be going straight to a trap. Think my prince"... Lord Nathan said coming towards the curtains to where he stood. Staring out to the woods, they both saw the warriors were exhausted, tired and hungry as they moved around sluggish and drolled about as if they were tired of staying vulnerable in a lost city in the Pacific but at most they were also waiting to fight or sail back home. "Look at this people, they weren't brought here to wedge war but rather this is a mere search party, we have rookies who have never yielded a sword in real battle before. How do you expect to win this my prince?...(Lord Nathan stretches out his hands and rests them on the prince's shoulders). Let's go home my young prince. We may not know home again if we need to your instincts". Lord Nathan said giving a smile and then a Stern look at the prince to convince.
