Silence prevailed while we were on our way to the complex. Zero kept his lips shut and his eyes fixed on the road. On the other hand, I was just shamelessly staring at him.
I wanted so badly to ask Zero for his side about what happened. After Noah admitted to his faults, there was no way in hell he would be lying. However, I still wanted to hear everything from his lips, but not to the point of forcing him.
I trust Zero.
I would respect it if he chose to keep his thoughts all to himself. That was the least I could give him after all the sh*t he had gone through that night. He had enough of all those interrogations and confrontations.
With a silent sigh, I turned my face away from him and watched the side of the road. It didn’t take long for us to arrive at the apartment complex.
