It was already too late to back out. Zero’s grandmother’s house was just a short drive from downtown. Once we got the groceries, I only had fifteen minutes left to process everything. I still had no concrete idea of what I was getting myself into until I thought that I was going to meet an elder from their pack. I could already feel myself getting real intimidated, especially once we had pulled into the garage. There was a very old sedan parked right in front that I could see from the windshield.
