Bella's POV We let Benedict and the two guards pass by, hiding silently in the shadows. After about thirty minutes, they came back and left again. Once their footsteps faded completely, Lilet spoke. "There's something so calm about this place," she said softly. "Usually, the most dangerous places are calm before they strike," I replied. "So be careful, and keep your focus on the path."
