Chapter 1
'I cannot live without you,' Samaira said, looking into the eyes of her boyfriend. Standing close to each other, they both were looking into each other's eyes. She had a little smile on her face. Suddenly, she saw that the boy's eyes started bleeding and he started mumbling something. 'Why did you do this?... Why did you do this?... Why did you do this?...' Her smile turned into shock. She stepped back. 'No, no, please stop this... No...' 'Why did you do this?... Why did you do this?...' The boy started started walking towards her. She was walking backwards as the boy was coming near her. 'Don't come near me!' She said. The boy still was walking continuously towards her. He then took out a knife and jumped at her. 'No!' She screamed. She suddenly woke up and sat on her bed. She was sweating and was breathing heavily. She then looked around and saw that she was in her room. She realised that she was dreaming. 'This dream again.' She got out of the bed, stood up and went straight to the bathroom. Samaira was a 23 year old girl studying in Women's College, Patna. Fair skinned with long black hair and perfect measurements. She was 5 feet 4 inches tall. You could say that she was someone every boy would want to get his hands on. She was in her night suit. She was brushing her teeth in the bathroom looking in the mirror. She was still sleepy, that is why she was brushing slowly with her eyes half closed. She suddenly saw the same boy standing behind her in the mirror. She turned back but no one was there. 'Why am I having these kind of hallucinations?' She then took a shower. The water dripping from under her chin on her breast looked like honey dripping from beehive. Why are you imagining it, you p*****t? Anyways, she came out and changed. 'Samaira! Samaira!' Someone was calling her. It was her mother. Samaira lived in Phulwari, a place in Patna, in a small one storey house with her mother Reshma and father Kishore. She had a younger brother named Sameer who was 18 and was studying in Don Bosco high school. 'Yes, Maa!' She answered. 'Are you up? Come and eat. The breakfast is ready,' Reshma said. 'Coming,' Samaira said while combing her hair in front of the almirah mirror. After few minutes, she came out of her room. She was wearing black half sleeved T-shirt and white jeans. Her hair was tied in a ponytail. Her father and mother were sitting on the small dining table outside her room. Her father Kishore was a 50 year old man with fair complexion, fat belly, gray hair and moustache. He was wearing a white checked full-sleeved shirt tucked in his gray pants. He was sitting on the chair which was at the center. Her mother was sitting beside him. Her mother Reshma was a 45 year old woman with fair complexion. She was wearing a nighty and her hair was tied in form of a braid. She was serving bread and omelette to Kishore. 'Come sit,' Reshma siad, looking at Samaira, a plate in one hand and a bread in another. Samaira sat on a chair. 'Where is Sameer? He is not up yet?' Kishore said, looking at Reshma. Reshma put the plate with breads and omelette in front of him. 'He was awake whole night studying. Let him sleep for sometime. Today is also a holiday in his school because of some sports tournament,' Reshma said. 'Hm.' Kishore then picked up the newspaper which was already on the dining table. He looked at the headlines. 'Prime Minister to do a rally in Gandhi Maidaan in sight of upcoming Bihar elections.' This was the headline. Samaira was looking at her father, hoping that he would speak to her. But he did not even looked at her. 'You want some?' Reshma said, looking at Samaira. Samaira looked at Reshma and nodded. Reshma put some bread and omelette in a plate and put it in front of Samaira. 'Good morning, Maa, Papa, Di,' Someone said entering the dining hall from a room. It was Sameer. 'Good morning, champ,' Kishore said with a smile, keeping the newspaper aside and looking at Sameer. Samaira stood up and walked away in a hurry. 'Where are you going?' Reshma said. 'I will be late for my lecture,' Samaira said. 'But atleast finish your breakfast.' 'I'll eat at the canteen.' 'But... ' Samaira picked up her bag and left. Sameer looked a bit sad after this scene. Samaira walked out of her house in a hurry with a frustrated expression. She took an auto-rickshaw near the main road and left for her college. Meanwhile, a shady figure was following her on a motorcycle. Wherever she was going, that person was behind her. She walked out of auto-rickshaw, paid the driver and went inside the main gate of her college. 'Women's College, Patna' was written on a big board outside the gate. The follower stopped his motorcycle outside the main gate. Many goons were also lurking around there to look at girls and tease them. Sometimes, even harass them. Many a times, they picked fights with the security guard present there. Some of the goons were sons of rich and influential fathers, and that is why even police was not able to solve this problem. The person was looking inside the gate. Many girls were coming and entering the college. He was looking at each of them. 'Oye, do you need something?' Someone said. He saw that the security guard was coming towards him. He quickly started his motorcycle and left in a full speed. 'Hey, stop!' The security guard shouted. But the man was already gone. While the guard was still thinking something, someone came from behind in a motorcycle and slapped him on his head, and left in full speed. 'Ha, ha, ha, bhosdiwale chacha (means asshole uncle),' They said and left. 'Wait, you bastards,' The guard said and threw a stone at them but they were already far away. It was those goons who not only harassed the girls but even the security guard. The man who was following Samaira was still near the college, and was not ready to leave.
