My Hero

333 Words
The sun was dipping low over Silverwood College, painting the courtyard in soft golden hues. Rudra leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed, exuding his usual cool, untouchable aura. Aanya walked toward him, fearless as ever, a determined sparkle in her eyes. Rudra’s gaze sharpened, voice low and serious: “If you’re not scared, Aanya… then start being scared. Because I’m not the person you should be with. Really.” Aanya didn’t flinch. She stepped closer, her grin widening mischievously: “I know exactly what I want, Rudra. You’re not the gangster… you’re my hero 😀.” Rudra raised an eyebrow, trying to keep his composure, but there was a flicker of surprise in his eyes. Aanya (teasingly): “And if you think I’m not your type… just ask your friends 😉.” Rudra groaned, throwing up his hands. “Whatever. Don’t come here again.” Aanya laughed — a bright, fearless sound that echoed through the courtyard. She lifted her hand and shouted, full of mischief: “I will come again, my hero 😀!” Her voice carried, and from behind, Kabir, Aman, and Dev were struggling to hide their laughter. Kabir leaned forward, grinning. “Boss… she’s unstoppable!” Aman smirked. “Seriously, who dares to call you a hero?” Dev just shook his head, chuckling. “You’re in trouble now, Rudra.” Aanya waved at them playfully, giving them a wink. “Thanks, Dev! Aman! Kabir! You guys are the best!” Rudra muttered under his breath, shaking his head. “I can’t believe this…” But even as he said it, he felt a faint tug at the corner of his lips — a smile he couldn’t completely hide. Aanya walked away, humming softly, leaving behind a trail of laughter, mischief, and the unmistakable sense that this was just the beginning. And Rudra? For the first time in a long while, he couldn’t stop thinking about her — the fearless girl who dared to call him her hero.
