A DANGEROUS CONNECTION
It was 6 a.m.
The campus was still quiet, early, wrapped in the soft light of early morning. Inside the dormitory, Gun was already awake.
He stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his simple shirt, his hair slightly messy but neat enough. His sketchbook lay open on the desk, unfinished drawings scattered across the page.
From the other side of the room, Joong groaned.
“Why are you awake this early… it’s illegal.”
Pat, already dressed, chuckled. “Some people actually care about class.”
Gun smiled softly. “We have that meeting today, remember?”
Joong sat up suddenly. “Oh right—the important one."
Across the city, at the same hour—
Babe stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror in his penthouse.
He buttoned his shirt slowly, the morning sunlight slipping through the curtains and casting across his defined figure. His expression remained cold, distant, untouchable.
Mok stood nearby, holding a tablet.
“The car is ready, khun babe.”
Babe adjusted his cufflinks.
“We’re not going to the company.”
Mok paused. “…The university?”
Babe didn’t answer. He simply walked past him.
That was answer enough.
By 7 a.m., the black luxury car stopped in front of the university.
Students whispered as Babe stepped out.
“That’s him…”
“Isn’t that the CEO of X Group?”
“Why is he here?!”
"I heard he is rutlesss is all factors of business "
" no one dares go near him "
Babe ignored them all.
Meanwhile, Gun walked with Pat and Joong toward the main building.
“I still don’t get why they picked us,” Gun said.
Pat shrugged. “Top students.”
Joong grinned. “Obviously because I’m handsome.”
Gun laughed softly—but then he felt it.
A strange feeling.
Like something was about to happen.
**University Office**
Seven students stood in a line.
“Is everyone here?” the principal asked.
“Student Fei Long, student Joong, student Pat, student Wave, student Elis, student Gun, and student Paeng,” a staff member confirmed.
“Good.”
The door opened.
And the air shifted.
Babe walked in, followed by Mok.
Gun’s breath caught.
*Him…*
Their eyes met instantly.
Babe’s gaze was sharp, unreadable. Gun’s was softer—but just as locked in place.
“Mr. Babe,” the principal said politely, “could you explain the purpose of your visit?”
Before Babe could speak, Mok stepped forward.
“X Group will be sponsoring a two-month internship program. These students have been selected as top candidates.”
The students exchanged shocked glances.
“A… two-month internship?” Pat whispered.
Joong’s eyes widened. “That’s huge.”
Gun, however, wasn’t listening.
He was still looking at Babe.
And Babe… hadn’t looked away.
“…Is that understood?” Mok finished.
There was silence.
Gun blinked, snapping back to reality.
“I—I’m sorry, could you repeat that?”
Joong elbowed him lightly. “Pay attention.”
Mok repeated the details briefly, though his eyes flicked curiously between Gun and Babe.
Something felt… off.
**After the Meeting**
The students slowly left the office, buzzing with excitement.
“Did you hear that? X Group!”
“This could change everything!”
“We’re basically guaranteed jobs!”
Pat grabbed Gun’s arm. “Come on.”
But Gun didn’t move.
“I’ll come in a second,” he said quietly.
Joong raised an eyebrow. “Don’t do anything weird.”
When the others left, the room fell silent.
Gun stood there alone.
Babe remained by the window, his back turned.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then—
“Why are you still here?” Babe asked coldly.
Gun hesitated. “…I just wanted to say sorry. About the café.”
Babe turned slowly.
His eyes scanned Gun from head to toe—calm, but intense.
“You already apologized.”
Gun nodded, gripping his sleeve slightly.
“…Still.”
A pause.
Babe stepped closer.
Gun’s heart started beating faster.
“You don’t seem scared,” Babe said.
Gun blinked. “Should I be?”
For a split second—just a second—something changed in Babe’s expression.
Interest.
“Maybe,” Babe replied quietly.
Mok, watching from the side, frowned slightly.
*This isn’t normal…*
Babe straightened his posture again, his cold mask returning instantly.
“Don’t be late for the internship.”
Gun nodded quickly. “I won’t.”
As he turned to leave—
“Gun.”
He froze.
Slowly, he looked back.
Babe’s gaze was locked onto him.
“Try not to get in my way this time.”
Gun swallowed.
“…I’ll try.”
**Preview of Episode 2:**
