Chapter 13

Life's really not a charm. VIVIENNE’S POV. I was getting tired of slamming doors all day and weeping myself to sleep. It needed to stop. I was sick of it. Fed up. I was…. “Aarghhhh!” I threw my hands into the air, stabbing aggressively and stomping my foot on the ground. “I hate this, I hate my life,” I screamed into the air. I grabbed my pillow and threw it against the window. It felt good for a second, then the guilt came back even harder. And then, I didn't know what came over me. I thrashed my room into a mess, crashing things to the ground as I screamed angrily. Being a b***h wasn't going to do anything to help my case, but it felt so good taking my anger on something. If I was guessing right, he wanted me to be a dolled up bimbo who spoke when he wanted, ate when he wanted, walked when he wanted. He was a control freak along with being a cold, heartless brute. And soon, the whole pack was going to run with the narrative that I was as heartless as he was. “f*****g jerk!” I spat out, sitting heavily on my bed as I heaved a sigh and crossed my arms. I was out of breath but I felt like I could do more. Probably rebel, sneak off in the middle of the night, run away and start a new life. Just do something other than this. Who knew I would be a victim of forced marriage? Subjected to someone who showed no emotion. f**k, I wasn't even sure if he was born with any. “Luna,” a voice echoed through the door. I looked over at the mess I had caused and slapped my hands on my forehead. “Yes, who is it?” I huffed. “It's Donna, can you open up?” “Go away,” I mumbled. She kept knocking until I let out a loud sigh and unlocked the door. “What? Can't I have a minute to myself?” I mouthed as I stood rooted at the entrance. “I'm sorry but this is…” she stopped as her eyes swept behind me, widening at the mess I had caused. She gasped silently and pouted her lips with a smile. Then, she continued. “This is important. We need to get you ready.” “Ready for what?” I asked. Donna took a step and pointed her fingers inside my room. “If you could just let me in, Luna,” she turned back and whistled into the hallway. In less than a minute, three maids came rushing in. They started cleaning up while I watched them pace back and forth as Donna inspected. My mind brooded over what Donna wanted me to get prepared for. Micheal had introduced me to the elders and it was a mix of emotion. I knew they were going to give me a hard time rooting for their support. What else could he want from me? As soon as they were done cleaning up, Donna went straight to picking out clothes for me. She forced me to the showers. I followed blindly doing everything she asked of me. Before I knew it, I was in a super tight gown with a revealing fabric. She perfumed me until I almost lost my sense of smell. In a small whisper, she led me out of my room and we walked down the hallway. It got colder as we moved deeper. We got to places I had never been until we stopped and turned to a room with a large door. I had a vague feeling just staring at the door. What was about to happen? A ritual? A… “Come on, go in,” Donna spoke to me with a soft voice. “He'll be with you in a minute.” “What?” I whispered, not knowing why I did that. She gently opened the door and I walked in like an automated bot. I kept glancing at Donna in confusion until she shut the door and I turned to look at the magnificent room. It was three times the size of the room. The bed was more than a king-size bed. I wasn't even sure I had seen this size in all my years of luxurious living. And the view from the window was to die for. Then a realization dawned on me. I was in the Alpha's room. I looked around at the expensive things in his room. I knew nothing about his life, but I was certain he had to have a company elsewhere to fund his… exquisite taste. There was no way being just an Alpha could get him all this. There was a lot I didn't know about him and I had just realized it. His life was a f*****g secret. The door opened up behind me. I flinched and turned to the door as Micheal walked in, his step echoing in my eyes. He looked down at my waist and I trailed his eyes down to my feet. His eyes narrowed at my breast as I stood poised and silent. I had begun to understand why I was in his room. The revealing gown, the tight look to show off my curves. Yeah, everything began to make sense. I frowned as his eyes kept fixed at my boobs. The man I thought had only just one expression; anger, showed me something else. Something that made me move back in fear without reason. An insatiable look in his eyes. A look that reflected how thirsty he was… for my body. I moved back again until my legs grazed the edge of his bed. I wasn't ready to have s*x with him. I would never even think to kiss him ever again. He wasn't the type my heart fluttered for, my legs wobbled for, and my… He took off without a warning and I totally lost control. Lysander lost control of her gait. My mouth watered as I stared at his chest. I trailed my eyes to his perfect, rock hard abs. There were a few scars on his left abdomen but that only made my heart throb faster. He did not only look handsome and cold but he had the body of a god. The type that made me feel wet from staring at a monster right in the face. “Take off your clothes!” he commanded, his voice deep and frisky, sending a hot thrill down my guts.
