Unfettered Truths

I was sure to hang back, keeping my distance so the males would not spot me as I tried to walk as stealthily as I could without getting noticed in my white dress and garish pink sash. They meters a restricted hall then, my steps faltering as the double doors swung back and forth in front of me. No Ladies allowed past this point; Faculty only The large red letters sent my heart into palpitations as I stood there frozen for a minute, my mind warring with my body as I finally took a breath and pushed through, following the hall and listening to every creak and sound it made. I jumped slightly as I heard a door open and close somewhere around a corner to my right, voices instantly bouncing off the walls as I dashed towards the nearest door. “Poor fucker is gonna get the ringer from Dayglow, isn’t he Sal?” A deep voice chuckled as I gently held the door open an inch so the males wouldn’t hear it close. “Imagine; Peterson who was a male Omega himself selling all those stupid trusting girls to those betas and making money when they bought them at the spoils auction! They’re for sure gonna get their peckers ripped off and shoved up their own…” the voice faded down the hall as I let out a breath I was holding, the door clicking closed then as I noticed a soft glow behind me. When I turned, I was in a room with cameras of different angles of halls and rooms, one of the screens showing the male who had assaulted me tied to a single chair with a table to his side, gleaming instruments scattered across it. Security office? I pondered as I got closer, my hand traveling to the screen as I subconsciously pressed the tip of a finger to it. I jumped when the feed almost filled the whole screen, the audio now coming with it as Miss Dayglow entered the room in a black outfit I had never seen her in before. “Alright, Beta Lucian Vikko- tell me why I shouldn’t castrate you right now for almost ruining one of my products?” Her voice became deep and dark, a shiver going up my spine as I watched her pick up a thin blade from the table. “I… I can tell you names of Betas, Gammas, and a few low born wolves who Peterson sold to!” He stammered, his eyes going wide on the screen. “Really? Hmmm… and why would I need to know that? We caught the one who was selling the females, so our problem should stop now.” She had walked before him and pulled down his pants, the rod that had swung between his legs earlier now nothing more than what looked like a pear dangling below a breakfast sausage. “f**k! It’s..It’s because the Omega Institute’s reputation would fall if word got out that high class Omegas were ruined on purpose so us lower wolves could get a taste of them too!” He was basically sobbing now as Miss Dayglow kneeled on the floor in front of him and grabbed the pear shaped skin and teased the knife gently against it. “We have money to bid; why shouldn’t we be able to get more than the defects!” He screamed like a girl then when I saw the knife flash in Miss Dayglow’s hand, the lump of flesh coming away as she stood up and casually tossed it to the side. “Your kind has no say in that.” She spat on him then, returning the knife to the table as I fought the bile in my throat, my horror not allowing my eyes to leave the screen. “Us Alpha’s have the power, the privilege of our superior wolves to decide. The council is in agreement as well. Omega’s are ours to mold, shape, sell, barter, trade, and even auction off. They are ours to f**k, ours to use, and ours to toss aside when we become bored or when they’ve served their purpose.” The icy words she said as she picked up two wires and tugged the males shirt open and sent buttons flying around the space as he struggled in his seat made my head dizzy, especially when she clamped the ends of the wires to his exposed n*****s. “So… I’m going to have my fun with you, and you’re going to tell me those names and maybe I’ll give you the sweat release of death. Until you do though; you’re my bitch.” I finally turned and ran from the room as she flipped the switch on a box, the scream even more soul wrenching than the first as my legs carried me as fast as they could out of that hall. I didn’t stop running until I hit my hall; the door to my room mere inches away before a voice shouted behind me. “Hey; stop! You no longer have the head Ladies quarters! You’re in Violet Meadow room now.” A member of cleaning staff was at an open door, a pile of dirtied dresses in her cart. “S-sorry!” I stammered, my feet carrying me down three more doors before I opened the quarters. The room was noticeably smaller than the one I was accustomed to, the furniture not as opulent nor the space as large. My scant items were already set in their space, Ally’s in theirs. I was glad that my friend would still be with me, but disheartened and scared of what that meant for us. “What if I’m considered a defect..” I barely whispered the words as I sunk to the floor with my back to the door, my head resting against the palms of my hands and my knees as I let tears fall. “Oh, shoot… the Lady was telling the truth… what… what does that mean for us?!” I couldn’t fathom it, all the learning and all of the drills I had practiced and the rules I had followed blindly now crashing down around me. I hiccuped and laid down on the floor, making my way as I crawled under the bed then and pulled the covers of the blanket along with me, cocooning myself in the darkest place I could find in the room as I allowed the tears and shivering to fly freely from me. A door of truths had been opened today that I could never close again; the realty that I was an object and not a treasured Omega was crushing me in ways I never understood. I-I thought we were all special.. I shuddered a little as I blew snot into the soft material wrapped around me. But we’re just dolls to be played with.. a soft nock was all I heard as the door across the room opened slowly, a pair of familiar feet coming through. “Pearl, I snuck you an apple to-“ Ally’s voice cut off as she paused when she noticed where I was hiding, her voice instantly filling with empathy. “Oh, Pearl.” She dropped the filched apple and crawled under the bed with me, pulling the ruined blanket and me right against her. “You weren’t spoiled, and we can win back our places quickly! You’ll see. No one can be as perfect as us, and everyone’s entitled to one mistake or bad day. Shhhhh, when graduation comes, our Suitors will be piling donations onto this place!” She assured me. I couldn’t help but cry harder then, deciding there was no way in hell I could tell Ally the truth. She didn’t deserve this pain that I would now have to carry. I hoped and prayed she could carry her faith and innocence to the very end, even if it did make me a terrible friend.
