Ravens Mate

Mia need to kick to her own ass. That's all there was to it. Man how could she be so freaking gullible and trusting. She sighed as she cast a sideways glance towards the douchbag driving the truck beside her. She had agreed to a date with someone she meet online. Dumb. She had agreed to meet him outside of town so she could follow him to some nice restaurant up in the mountains with “romantic views”. She was to follow him in her car because GPS didn’t work up here.   When she got to scenic view where they were to meet up he talked her into riding with him because the roads got rough and she could break her small car. She thought that was nice he was thinking of her. Dumb again. Now 30 mins later they had not arrive at the restaurant and she was pretty sure there was no restaurant. She was pretty sure he was going to say they were lost and try to get a piece. He was wrong! Looking at Gran aka douchbag mcjerkbag, he was smiling and to be honest he was good looking and had seem nice. He had blue eyes, his short brown hair covered by a baseball hat. At least he looked like he shaved for the date. He had turned the music up so loud that she could barely think. Probably so he didn’t have to make small talk, or so he couldn’t hear her when she asked how close the restaurant was now, which she already tried with him 4 times. She had been so excited to go out since it had been so long since she had been out. But now she really wish she was back home relaxing. She hated to admit to herself but she was tired of being alone. I mean she loved having alone time but she was tired of always having alone time. She wanted to share all of herself with someone, and to have someone share themselves with her. God maybe she has been reading too many romances stories lately. Maybe that didn’t work in today’s society. God, how many nights did she lay in bed dreaming of meeting an intense man who fall in love with her in one look and they would share amazing life together full of adventure and intense feelings. Ok. She needed to stop, because as much as she longed for a that, reality was there was not a man in the whole world like that. Raven's POV Raven walked in and tossed his keys on the desk onto one of the one of the stacks folders. The stack of folder fell to the floor. He dropped into his chair and glared at at the pile on floor now on top of his keys. "s**t" he mutted. He hated paperwork. He would rather run through hot coals then do paperwork. He need to hire someone to do paperwork, which you would think would be easy. Not so much when you are hiding shifters from not only humans but the the Solution as they call themselves. Sighing Raven wondered if he burnt down the damn office if he could just forget about the damn paperwork and reports that had to be done. But he really didnt need anyone out snooping around doing f*****g investigations and s**t. He open up his labtop and started on the first stack of paperwork which would be his financial report. “f*****g wonderful” he muttered as he went through the report that Niko wrote up. Aleast he didnt have to do all the numbers. Niko was the one good with the numbers, he handled the payroll and all the financial reports. Niko was Raven's 2nd in command and his best friend since he was young. He was someone Raven counted on daily. Not only did he help with the financing of the business with handling the crew when they got outta control which was almost daily. Something needed to give and give soon. Raven mood darken the longer he sat at the desk. It wasent just the paperwork and the crew that him angry. It was the feeling of lacking something. The feeling had been in him for awhile this small ache for....something. He had no idea what thought which just frustrated him like nothing else. It was like he was waiting on it...whatever it is. He wished it would hurry and get here so he could freaking deal with it and get it over with. Raven moved on to the last stack of papers on his desk. Raven's watch beeped alerting that he had a meeting soon down at his crew house. He was meeting with Colt, the Alpha of the Ghost Crew which butted up with Ravens territory. They had some mutual business to address. They had one client that had orders so big it took both crews to fill it. They supplied the client with crystals, rocks, fossils, etc out of the mountains they mined. They also supplied fur pelts from trapping, herbs and other stuff only found on the smokey mountains. It was a great business for them. The shifter strengths came in handy for mining and being in nature helps keep their animals settled. Also with good to get the others to socialize once inawhile with other shifters. His crew could be hard to handle, Colts crew as almost as bad, almost. Most of the guys under Raven had issues, past history, your basic problem cases. Colt was the same himself. They hadn't had a crew brawl in a few months tho so that was progress. As a message from Niko came in saying he was already at the crew house, Raven shut down the laptop and started down to the club house which was about a mile down the road from his house and office. So Raven jump on his four wheeler and headed down. They all had trails from their homes to the work site, to the club house. It was the easiest way to get around here unless you shifted and ran. When Raven arrived at the club house, Niko greeted him buy tossing him a beer before he even got off his four-wheeler. “You ready for tonight?” “ Ya, just going over numbers with Colt before we have a few drinks. It will probably uneventful just like last time” “ Rumor has it Gran plans on showing up this time” said said with a tight sigh. “ s**t” Raven swore. Gran loved to push buttons and thought because he was 2nd in command to Colt he was in charge. Colt had to fight him more then once because he throw down a challenge. The last time Colt told him it was last. If he challenged him again and lost he was being kicked out. A rogue who would far game to The Solution without protection from a crew. And to make it worse he had a hardon for Raven. Consistently pushing buttons, egging him on to fight him trying to his crew what the f**k to do just a ton of bullshit all the time, trying to prove he was better for whatever stupid ass reason. The guy was psycho with a capital P. Mia POV Finally Jerky Mcjerkface turn down the radio as he turned off the road they were on. Great hear comes the “I think were loss, let’s sit here for a few minutes to see if can get into your pants” speech. As Mia prepared herself mentally to shut him down, she open her mouth to say no and a huge log…..Garage? Barn?? Building…came into view and it was gorgeous. Dark wood logs made up the walls and 1 garage door open and it had reg door on the other side of the front. It looked long and had quite a few four-wheelers and a few trucks parked in the massive gravel driveway which looked like a big circle. “Here we are cupcake” Gran said proudly. “Is this a restaurant?” Mia asked knowing the answers but wanted to see what he would say. “aww…its cute you still believe that im taking you out to eat” Gran said with a feral smile. Mia narrowed her eyes at him. He was up to something and she didn’t like it. She was pretty sure it was this getting even sketcher then before. She wasent afraid of him and most people were probably so he was probably assuming she was scared and intimidated. He was in for a world of surprise. “And its super cute that you think I am going to go for this bullshit. So you can just turn the truck around right now and take me back to my car now.” Mia turned her head and crossed her arms as she looked out the window dismissing him. He didnt know who he was messing with. Gran growled loudly. “I am not taking back to your car b***h. Get out you are my f*****g date tonight and you will not embarrass me.” “umm no...i dont think so, you lied to me and that means I am done with you. If you wont take me back to my car, I'll just find someone who will. Sorry not sorry” . With that Mia opened the truck door and jumped out.
