Chapter 13

The next day

I woke up with Dom still in my arms. I squeezed her softly into a hug and kissed the top of her head. I tried to get up without waking her. Luckily, she didn’t wake up.

I went to the closet and got dressed. I need to talk with Sam about the dream I had last night.

When I was done, I walked over to the bed. Dom was still asleep. I kissed her on her forehead goodbye and left. Closing the door behind me.

I headed to Sam’s house. Mindlinking him that I was on my way and that we needed to talk. He told me to head to the office and that he would be there shortly.

I walked into the office and headed straight for the tequila. I poured me a shot and downed it. Then another and took it with me over to the sofa. I couldn’t get that dream out of my head. What did the Goddess mean?

Just then Sam walks in. “What’s wrong?” he asked. Looking at me, he closed the door. “That bad?” he asked, walking over to the sofa. He sat down.

“What? No.” I told him, shaking my head. “I had a dream last night with a goddess.”

“I know you love Dom, but a goddess?” he chuckled.

“I’m being serious. I think the moon goddess came to me last night in a dream and told me that I need to help Dom and save my new family.” I drank the shot of tequila. “I don’t know what it means.”

“Bro, we need Mama in here for this one,” he says, as he mindlinks his mom. “She’ll be here in a minute. Do you need another shot?” he laughed.

“Haha. Yes!” I handed him the glass.

As he was walking back to the sofa with the tequila, Mama V walked into the office.

“What’s wrong boys?” she asks. “Why are you drinking so early? Is it that bad?”

Sam laughed.

I took the shot from Sam and told Mama V about my dream.

“Oh my. This is serious.” she said. “Whenever the Goddess comes to you in a dream, you must always heed her warning. For she is warning you of danger and trying to help you.”

By now she was sitting on the sofa next to me.

“Tell me exactly what she said,” Mama V demanded.

“She said, ‘You have to get to the rogue alpha before he gets to her to save them and by “them” she meant my new family. She’ll need your help with her.’ was all that she told me before disappearing.” I explained to Mama V.

“Well, it sounds like the Goddess is telling you to get to the rogue alpha before he gets to Dom. I’m sure if she meant Josie, she would have said her name or came to Sam and not you. ‘Them’ could be Dom, Josie and Jen. But I have a feeling it’s more than that. She said your new family and she’ll need help with her. I believe ‘new family and she’ll’ means Dom again.” a huge grin grew on Mama V's face as she said the last part, “Dom’s pregnant with a girl.”

I downed the shot in my hand. “No. She can’t be. I just marked her last night.”

“My guess is that’s why and how the Goddess was able to come to you in your dream. Because now you two are mated and marked,” Sam said.

“I need another drink,” I demanded. “Make it a double. Don’t tell Dom anything yet."

Dominique’s POV

I woke up this morning and Giovanni was gone. He must have gone into work early today. I got up out of bed and put Gio’s robe on. Walked out of his room and into mine. Well, where all my stuff still is anyways. I grabbed me some clothes and went into the bathroom to change. I got dressed quickly. I was hungry.

I headed downstairs to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. I was feeling really hungry. So, I made myself a bacon, ham, onion and cheese omelette with diced tomatoes and cilantro on top.

I sat down at the table and scarfed my food down. That had to be record time. Now that I’m full. I’ll need to walk it off. I texted Josie and Jen to see if they wanted to go with me. They both said yes, so I headed over to Sam’s, or I guess now Josie’s house.

I walked in the front door. Mama V was coming down the stairs as I was closing the door. She came up to me and gave me a hug and smiled really big.

“Good morning, Mama V. Are you doing good this morning?” I greeted her.

“Peachy King, my dear. I’m so happy for you and Gio.”

“Thank you.” I was getting kind of weirded out. But whatever. “Is Gio here?”

“Yes, hun, but they are really busy right now. Best you two talk later.”

“Ok. Well, I’m actually here for Josie and Jen. We’re going on a walk. Would you like to come, Mama V?”

“I’d love to. Let me go get changed real quick and I'll let the girls know you’re here.”

Mama V headed back upstairs. I went into the living room and sat down and waited. I wasn’t waiting long before Josie and Jen were downstairs. We waited a few more minutes for Mama V and then headed out.

We walked for about an hour before going back to the house. Mama V talked a lot about weddings and babies. She must really want that first grandbaby. Haha
