Jade paced her tiny room. She didn’t mean to say that. She had only realized the depth of her feelings for them earlier that morning. She didn’t want to tell them until she was sure of their feelings and knew she wasn’t going to scare them off. But then she slipped up. She knew she cared for them more than anything else. She knew that she wanted no one else but these four. She didn’t mean to spring a confession of her feelings on them. What if they don’t want that from her? What if it turns them off? What if it scares them off? And they leave her. She plopped down on her bed. She was a burden. And now they know she’ll want a commitment from them. And then they won’t want her around anymore.
