Melissa sat behind the nurses’ station working on paperwork on a patient’s record. She looked up when Adam walked by. They weren’t exactly slammed tonight, but for a Sunday night there were several emergencies that warranted undivided attention. A couple serious car accident victims had started their night. A drug overdose was rushed in close to midnight. And they have had a handful of heart attacks throughout the night. Which is what is suspected of the patient in bay 5.
