Jade stood at the edge of her living room, waiting for Mitch to finish gathering his things. It didn’t take him long and he gave her a quick, but thorough kiss as he left. “I’ll let you know when I’m off.” “Okay.” She said. She caught him for a tight, but quick hug. “Have a good night.” “Thanks.” He said with a smile, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Then he was out the door and gone. Jake and Emmett were starting to gather their things, too. They needed to stop by home to grab fresh uniforms. Jade was trying to shake herself out of her newly descending melancholy feeling. She felt silly for feeling this way. They all worked, they all had to leave for their work. They couldn’t just stay home together at all hours.
