Secrets

Shaurya “Is your hand alright now?” Prashant asked and I rolled my eyes. He had already asked her this more than a hundred times, I guess. “Well, are you going to ask her over a thousand times as well.” He glared at me and that made me wonder if he didn’t really have any feelings for her? I don’t want to intervene between him and his feelings, so it would be better that I stop teasing him about this or else if he really feels something and he speaks out, then it would be hard for Princess to take it inside her. “I am alright. It is making me feel less burn after your treatment.” “His family deals with medicine, so naturally he must know so much.” “Really?” She asked me, a hint of surprise in her voice and he again glared at me and I shrugged. “What is making you glare at me again and again?” “Your words.” “My words? Then I will try to keep myself silent in front of you.” “That is impossible for someone who loves to talk more than anything else.” “I love playing games and eating food and sleeping. These are the best things in the world for me.” He shook his head and suddenly I felt something was pressed under my feet. I looked down and found a square piece of land was shrunk. This is weird. I looked around but none of the things were suspicious and it was not until I heard the voice of something that was aiming towards Prashant. I “Prashant!!” I called him out and ran towards him before he could turn to me. I jumped over him and rolled to the other side. I looked up and found the spear had been thrown in our way. They surely have so many weapons and that, too, a great number. I looked around but I found no one. “What the hell!!!” Prashant said and he was sitting up and I looked at his side and saw the small square, same as the previous one inside, and this time I heard sounds of sound. I held over him and rolled to the other side and there I stood up. “This is a trap. We have to be careful if, unknowingly, we step on the ground and it shrinks, then it will release a weapon to attack us.” “You have saved me. What about Princess? You have left her over there only.” He said, and I totally forgot about her. I looked at her. “Let me go and fetch her.” “I will go and fetch her. You better be over here.” I didn’t argue with him further. He went away and took the steps carefully and the square which sank into the ground was again at the same level. I put my hand on the tree trunk. This king really had made a great trap. I don’t know from whom he is running away, but I guess he doesn’t want to face death and who in this world wants to face it? Everyone wants to live as long as they can and spend a wonderful time with their partner. I again heard something and this time it was closer than I had expected. But none of the squares had sunk then. I guess that is not the only way to activate the trap. I looked at Prashant and Princess and they were both coming but that weapon was also coming and I looked at the way where it was and I took out my knife when I was running and stood in front of them and cut the weapon in half. When it dropped on the ground, it was an axe. I think if it touched them, then it would have made them bleed badly. “This place is not at all safe. We have to hurry and get out of here.” Prashant nodded, but it was too late. I heard more of the weapons arriving. This power of listening is really useful for me. I prepared myself. “You guys go ahead. I will handle the rest of them and will join you later.” I said, and saw the weapon arriving. “Princess, please find a place for you to hide. I will help my friend for a while.” I smiled but didn’t turn and I took a few steps ahead and started to attack and soon the attacks were released from all directions. Me and Prashant stood back to back. “This is so amazing.” “Then what are you waiting for? Let’s finish this.” “That is what I crave for.” I said and we both went in the opposite direction and started to s***h and when I got the chance to look at Prashant, I saw that he was able to hold them and stop them. His power is really marvelous. That makes him stronger than me and I guess now he also knows how to control his power, though we both don’t know how he has got those powers, but he is good at controlling them. “Shaurya”, I heard the Princess saying, and I looked at her and before she could tell me anything, I heard what she was saying and I dodged it, but wasn’t completely successful as it had cut my waist from the side and then I focused on the fighting then. After a while, I was able to hear a sigh of relief because every weapon was down and we were saved. “Are you alright?” He asked and I looked at the part where I got hurt. “I guess I need new clothes. My clothes are tearing apart.” “You really know how to joke when we are in this kind of situation and you are hurt.” “Then why am I not feeling well?” I said and lifted my shirt and there was a cut but it wasn’t bleeding and it was alright. “See I am alright.” “But that weapon has hurt you and all those weapons are looking sharp and yet you are fine,” the Princess said. “I feel concerned that I could be a concerning matter for you, but I also don’t know what is going on.” “This forest is indeed a wander,” Prashant said. “I agree with you. This place is not only the residence of monsters, animals, giants and kings, but it is also the residence for mystery and maybe some magic.” I said. “Magic does exist over here but only the royal has access to it and if the person is at the least post in the palace, then he also possesses magic.”, Princess said. “So this place indeed holds magic, just the heaven pond.” I said. “What heaven pond?” “The pond which has pearls in depth and has such a beauty that it is incompatible. I don’t have words to describe it.” “Alright, alright, I know about what you are talking about, don’t need to elaborate on it at all.” Prashant said and I chuckled and then I looked at the princess. “Your brother must be very cautious of his death because he is setting a trap for us and wants to kill us on our way. I like this challenge. If ever you get to meet him again and talk, then do tell him that this Shaurya is surely coming and will make him meet his doom.” I said and winked in her way and she rolled her eyes. “You sure are an unmannered child and you don’t know how to talk with others.” “This is my way and if that makes you irritated, then I am not the one who should be held responsible for this.” “Why did I even try to warn you in the first place?” “Yeah, then I would have died and you don’t have to hear my talk anymore.” “Stop you two, you two fight like small children may be worse than them.” Prashant said. “I have just said the message which she has to deliver to her brother if she returns before us. I am innocent over here. The fight started because of this grandmother.” “Whom are you calling a grandmother?” “I don’t think that either of me or Prashant is a woman to be called grandmother and you are the only one among us who has lived for more decades than any of us. Then, naturally, you are the grandmother of both of us.” “I am not your grandmother.” “That I also know, but after all, your age is grandmother only.” “What is my age? My age is just one hundred seventy years old.” I looked at Prashant and he was looking at me only and then I looked at her. “Young lady, I am just nineteen years old,” I said to her. “Don’t mock me.” “I am not mocking you. In fact, you are my grandmother’s grandmother.” She rolled her eyes. “Shaurya, stop with these words of you. We should get forward.” Prashant said and I nodded. “By the way, do you really think that one hundred fifty years is a less year?” I asked her. “Yeah, after all, my brother is more than three-hundred-years old and that thunder is more than one thousand, then of course I am the youngest.” “Sure you are the youngest.” Though I wanted to say that in a mocking tone, I suppressed that and said that casually with the hint of mocking. “But I think here we are the youngest over here.” “You are looking just about my age, so no more teasing me with that word about grandmother.” “Then aunt would surely work. I can’t go down further with this word.” She looked at me and glared, which, as always, didn’t work on me. Instead I chuckled. “You guys should really stop fighting over a silly topic.” “Well, this isn’t silly at all and by looking at you I think you must be over two hundred.” He rolled his eyes. “Really? Do humans live so long?” “Why are you trusting his words? I am just nineteen years old.” “I thought that you were of the same age and I am, and see I am not wrong.” “Why are we discussing the age thing over here?” “Well, I don’t know, but it is quite interesting.” “ If you don’t know, then why is you talking about this too?” He was looking annoyed as well as irritated, but he didn’t say anything beforehand at all. “Alright, we won’t talk about this, but why are you getting so angry about this?” “I am not angry but frustrated with your stupid argument.” “Okay, okay, we won’t argue over the silly topic,” I said. We walked forward while I tried to keep it in my mouth. I don’t know why he was so angry and about what, but I think that I should not focus on what his feelings are about. “It has been so long, aren’t you so eager to speak?” the Princess asked me and I nodded. “Someone among us doesn’t like me talking so much,” I said, and I looked at him and saw that he didn’t even turn. I looked at the Princess and we both both had the same expression. I saw that he was going to trip over the broad log and he wasn’t even so aware of his surroundings. Before he could trip over that, I held his hand and he looked at him. “What?” He looked at me and then I signed him towards the trunk. “What are you thinking about?” “None of your business,” he said, and then went forward. “He must not have been wanting to talk about that and that is why he didn’t tell me anything,” I said to myself. After all, we have secrets, but what must be bothering him that made him so lost in his thoughts? I shouldn’t think about all these things. It would be better if he told me everything by himself.
