Not the time to lose

When we reached there, I just found the iron gate which was the same as the one which I had seen many days ago and also the place where I had almost lost my life.

“We crossed this door, didn’t we?”

“We did.” He said simply, and I didn’t see what his reaction currently was.

“Then how come we have come to this door again?” This time I looked at him and he also looked at me and shrugged. “Are we lost in this jungle and have come to this gate once again?”

“I don’t really have any kind of idea about what is going on.”

“I know that you must not know only as you are me just with me.” I looked at him and he rolled his eyes. It is kind of weird that we have encountered the same door once again. Something struck in my head and I looked at him. “Can it be that this is the second door and is into the same as the previous one?”

“Half possibility.” He was also unsure about this and I decided to look around but the scene wasn’t the same.

“The surroundings aren’t the same as the previous one,” I said, and he looked around.

“Yeah” he said. I looked through the iron door and even the surroundings over there weren’t familiar to me.

“Now I think that we have reached another door.”

“I also think the same.”

“But now that this is the new door, then I am wondering what new tricks they may be having to trick us and kill us.” I said while rubbing my fingers on my chin.

“Don’t always think that it is going to be bad, only bad.”

“Here, one can’t guarantee that anything good will happen. I can only think what must be their next move to kill us. This king is so aware of his safety that almost after every few kilometers we would encounter some problems. This is looking so much harder for me now, every risk coming in our way is getting stronger.”

“That is correct. Now we have to be so careful about this.”

“That’s right. We have to be careful and reach him before he invents more ways to trick us into his trap and kill us.”

“Well, we don’t have to waste our time over here just by talking. We have to move forward.”

“Yeah.” I looked around. “Prashant.”

“Hmm…”

“Isn’t it quite so much? It is quieter than the previous one. I have a feeling that it is a silence before the tornado.”

“Indeed, there is no one had.” I said, and suddenly, I heard something and my eyes widened and I looked at Prashant and the next moment, I took him had and jumped to the side of the door and we both landed on the ground and, I think, even had hurt a bit, and it had to happen after all I have acted rashly.

“What is wrong? There is nothing. Why did we jump over here?”

“This time air.” I mumbled.

“What air?”

“Air is the medium for killing.”

“What does that mean?”

“I have heard something like that of a sword, when it is practiced in the air. I don’t know much, but it was dim and was hard to hear, but somehow I heard that and pushed you and me in time or else I don’t know what the result must have been.”

“Sword in the air?”

“I don’t know anything about this. This sounds kind of like a fairy tale to me.”

“Have you forgotten what the Princess said that there is magic as well over here?”

“Then do you think…...” I again heard the same voice and I could detect that this attack was on me and before I could complete my sentence, I pushed him away from me and I went down.

“Was there an attack again?”

“What so ever is this? This person is targeting me or this magic. There is really something in the air.” I again heard this and dodged every way possible. One time I felt something cold against my forearm and after that I felt some pain in my arm, but that didn’t last for longer. This person had got me when I was kind of distracted and this is not the first time. I have to keep my guard up.

But I am wondering if I can hear the slightest voice, then why can’t I hear the steps? Could it be that I was overthinking?

“It looks like you are doing a drama over here when nothing is around.”

“I know, but I can almost feel that. I can’t help it.” He didn’t say anything and suddenly I didn’t hear anything.

“What is it? Now the attacks are finished?”

“I think so.” But suddenly I again heard it and that was far from me and I looked ahead and saw Prashant who was standing in front of the wall.

“Prashant, watch out. It is coming for you.” I said and suddenly, in a blink, he clapped and I looked at him weirdly.

“I have caught it.”

“What?”

“The sword.”

“How can you say it?” Suddenly there was a fire-like colour coming out of his hand and it went to a specific length and then I could see the sword and I was amazed.

“H-H-How can…you…” I didn’t know what to say and he threw away the sword and this time it was visible.

“I also don’t know, but when you called out for me, I kept my guard up and then suddenly, without me knowing, my hand took them in.” I clapped my hands.

“I am amazed at your powers. Are you sure that you are not gifted? If you are gifted, that means that in our world you can save anybody.” He rolled his eyes.

“I am sure that I am normal and don’t need to create a fantasy.”

“I don’t believe that you are normal. You must be god.”

“Are you done pulling my leg? I have already said that you don’t have to create your fantasy. I am nothing in compared to god.”

“Alright, I won’t be pulling your leg. I won’t even create my own fantasy. Is that alright with you?”

“I think that I am feeling much better now.” I chuckled. I looked inside the gate.

“Can your power break this door?”

“I don’t know, but I think that your knife can surely do that.”

“Well, I had forgotten that.” I took out my knife and pointed towards the door and let out a strike and, along with it, struck and the door went down.

“I love how powerful this is.”

“Don’t be so proud. We still have so much ahead.”

“Why are you ruining my every moment?”

“Am I?” He made an innocent face and I nodded. “Well I am sorry about that.” He sounded like he didn’t even care about what I said.

“You are not a good person. You don’t even care what I said and your apology wasn’t even genuine. I bet that you must not be caring about it one percent as well.”

“When you know this, then I think that I don’t have to pretend, right?” He winked and then I smirked. I went towards him and put my hand around his neck and he looked at me.

“You are really influenced by me.” I said. “I feel proud to be your teacher.” I said while admiring myself when he came out of my hand and I almost lost my balance.

“Don’t be so proud of you.” I chuckled. We went further. “I guess we have….” Before he could say, something just crossed before our eyes. I looked at the direction in which that thing went and found that it was an axe.

“I think we still have to face more trouble before going forward.” We haven’t got away so much from the door and yet the attack has started just now, only now.

“I guess that was just the show. We are going to face the real problem now.” He is right. But I am not so confident about this.

“I wonder how many traps like this we are going to bump into ahead?”

“Don’t keep wondering. Now it is time to face.” I nodded and we started to walk and I heard something and I went in the front.

“I want to run away from here,” I said.

“Then you will surely be killed soon,” he said, and I sighed.

“What should we do? If we take a step, then we are going to be attacked.”

“Careful steps or follow the pattern.” I heard him and followed his instructions and there was just one way to deal with this and that was to take the careful steps. We were able to get away from it and I took a sigh of relief.

“Finally, we have to get out of there.”

“Don’t be relaxed just now only. There is so much ahead.”

“I know that and Prashant, you have started to talk a lot nowadays.”

“Are you having a problem with that?”

“No, no, I don’t really have any problem with anything. In fact, now it is getting interesting.”

“How?”

“At least I won’t be so bored on my way.” He rolled his eyes. We moved forward and then I saw thick fog ahead of me. I couldn’t see anything ahead at all.

“This fog is so thick. We could be lost in this fog,” I said.

“Even the previous one wasn’t this thick.”

“Isn’t there any other way?”

“Let’s find out.” He said and we split and decided to meet after sometime. I looked further and I thought that maybe I had found the other way, but to my disappointment, there was the same fog which I had encountered the last time. I couldn’t understand why there is so much fog when there is nothing like winter over here. I came back and saw that Prashant was already over there.

“Have you found something?” I shook my head.

“For a while I thought that I had found the exit, but when I went forward there was more fog like that.”

“Same, I can’t understand this at all.” I shook my head.

“So we have no other way but to follow this.” He nodded. “I have a bad feeling about this.”

“No problem. In the end, we will come out together and that would be very safe. This is just a moment of trouble. We can get through this.” I looked at him with dull eyes and then sighed.

“Thanks for motivating me, but I am not feeling motivated,” I said. He held up my forearm and made me look at him.

“You are already fearing trouble.”

“I am not.” I said while looking away.

“Then what are you waiting for, why? We should get ahead and cross this. We have to do it. We don’t know how many days it will take for us to complete this journey and reach where we want to, but if we wait now, then we are going to lose. You have to cross this and reach your destination and don’t you desire to go back home?”

“I do desire that and I want to go back.” I said and some motivation built inside me. “Alright, now that I have gained my motivation, then we will surely get ahead.” I thought of my mother and my father, who had died in a fight wanted I know that they both must be wanting me to be brave person and I also had made a promise to my brother that I will keep our mother happy and this time I can’t lose. “Let’s go ahead.”
