Prologue: Thank You
I believe life is full of mysteries. It could be about anything or anyone.. But I'm most interested on mysteries of crimes. Violence, murders, anything like that to be exact. That's why.. I became a detective.
Greetings, my name is Remi Kim. I am 25 years old and I work as a detective. As a female detective, I've received negative comments about it. They told me it would be weird, awkward, and that I would fail.. But my life is doing great.
You read that right. In my three years of being a detective, I've solved lots of crimes. Some of them are quite disturbing such as c*tting off parts of a human body and gifting them to their loved ones.. Crazy, right?
Enough of the chit chats. There are cases of people going missing for some reason.. Which is weird because it doesn't happen here, like ever.. I've talked to the police about this as I decided to open a case about this.
“How's it going, Rem?”, asked my fellow police friend. “This is so stressful.. But I won't give—” Suddenly, Kelly (my friend) accidentally spilled coffee on her arm.
“Ugh.. F*ck..”, she swore by how hot is is. “Oh my gosh..”, I stand up, grabbing a towel and wiping coffee from her sleeves. It left a burn on her arm. “I'm fine.. I'll clean up in the bathroom..”, she smiles before going. “Take care, Kel!”
After a few minutes, Officer Jay called me. “Hello? Sir Jay?”, I call out from the other line. “You have to see this, Miss Kim. I'll send the location.”, he hungs up. I got ready, no questions asked.
TIME SKIP — REMI KIM ARRIVED
“Miss Kim, you're finally here!” Officer Jay welcomes me in a serious way. Right now, we're currently at a park. “What's going on, Sir Jay?”, I ask right away. He leads me through the crowd right at the center of the park.
I gasp quietly by what I saw. A person's dead body was dug up she looked like one of the missing people. Her body was completely covered by soil except for her head. In her mouth were rose petals, completely stuffed with it.
“I've never seen anything like this before..”, I whisper to myself. Anywhere in the park smelled like fresh roses.. Even the corpse didn't stink, but still smelled bl00dy.
We got some suspects and the police questioned them.. No one seemed to be the killer, though. We eventually got back to the office, where I talked to Kelly.
“What's up, Kel? Is your arm alright now?”, I ask. “Yes, but the burn will take time to heal.. Anyways, how's the case going?”, she laughs. “About that.. One of the missing people' body was found, covered in soil with rose petals in her mouth.. The body didn't stink though, from the smell of roses. I can say that the killer is quite unique..”, I look down. “Thank you.”, she replies.
Wait.. What..?!
