Unspoken Love
I woke up to the noise of my parents arguing again. I wanted to just let them be because there's nothing I could do, but I heard my mom crying, so I rushed downstairs. When I saw her face covered in bruises, I immediately hugged her. "Dad, why do you always hurt Mom? All you do is drink and fight. Don't you think about how your child sees and hears you?" I shouted at my dad while holding my mom, who was shaking and cold. My dad just walked away like nothing happened. ''Don't come back ever again,' my mom whispered before he left. I carried Mom to their room and tended to her wounds. ''Mom, why do you and Dad always fight? What's the problem? You've been like this for so long, and I don't even know why,'' I asked while tears streamed down my face. She held my hand and face, saying, "Starting now, your dad won't be here, I will take care of you and your sister, I will handle everything so you both grow up well" Mom fell asleep, I stayed beside her, watching over and I felt so much pity for my mom and anger towards my dad. As I gazed at her bruised face, I hugged and kissed her forehead, and fell asleep crying. When I woke up to the morning sun, Mom was no longer beside me. I rushed downstairs and saw her preparing breakfast. as I stared at her, she noticed me and said, 'You're awake son. Come eat. I cooked your favorite dish. Wake up your sister and let's eat together.' Instead of waking up my sister, I went to Mom and hugged her from behind. Tears flowed from my eyes as I held her. Mom noticed something was wrong and turned to me, asking, 'What's wrong, son? Do you still have a problem?' I turned to her and hugged her tightly. 'Mom, don't worry. sister and I will take care of you. I'll study hard to repay your hard work. Mom, we love you so much. Even without Dad, we'll be happy,' I said while crying. Mom wiped away my tears and said, 'Let's eat first. Your sister is waking up.' Just as we were eating, Dad arrived. I stood up, furious. 'What are you doing here? Don't you feel any shame? You hurt Mom again,' I said but to my surprise, he didn't react. Instead, he went to get his belongings. 'Dad, where are you going? Why do you have luggage? Are you really leaving us?' I asked, but he didn't respond. He just left. Mom held our hands and said, 'Let him go, . It's better this way. We'll be happier without him. I'll raise you both properly and provide everything you need. Just focus on your studies.'' We continued eating, and during that time, we couldn't help but look at Mom. We felt a mix of pity and anger seeing her tears fall while she was eating. She noticed us staring and said, "Hurry up and finish your food, I need to clean up." She forced a smile, got up, and went to the kitchen to wash her hands. My sister and I exchanged glances, and we saw how much she was struggling. After a while, Mom calmed down, and there was a knock at the door. I opened it, and it was my friend Ethan. He came in and greeted Mom, then asked me if I could accompany him somewhere. I looked at Mom, who nodded and smiled, "Go ahead, dear. Take care, and don't be out too late." We went to the beach, and I was glad to get some fresh air and clear my mind. But when we were heading back home, I saw my dad getting into a car with another woman. I wanted to approach them, but they drove off before I could. I was in shock. Ethan noticed I was distracted and asked if I was okay. I didn't say anything, and we parted ways when we got to his house. I didn't go home right away; instead, I sat down beside his house and cried. That's when I heard Ethan's parents yelling at him, saying he was useless and only knew how to waste time. I was shocked, and it dawned on me that maybe Ethan needed my help. The next day, Ethan came to our house and stayed with us. We talked about what happened, and he told me he had left his house. I offered for him to stay with us, and Mom agreed. She even welcomed him warmly and said he could stay with us from now on. Two hours passed. It was 11 PM. I called him, but he didn't answer. I went to his house to look for him. His mom said he's not there and won't come back. She told me to look for him on the streets. I thought about where he might be and ran to the beach. It was far, but I didn't give up. I called him again, but his phone was off. I looked for him, but I didn't see him. I rested for a bit and sent him messages, but he didn't reply. Then I went to the rooftop where we hang out when we're stressed. I saw him standing there, crying. I comforted him, and he hugged me tightly. He said sorry and that I'm the only one he can trust. I hugged him back and said "I'm always here for you." He cried some more and wiped his nose on my jacket. I said "eww," but he just laughed and hugged me again. It was 1:56 AM. I said "let's go home, I'm sleepy." He nodded, and we walked home together. we were walking home in silence, the words of his mom suddenly crossed my mind. I asked him, "Does your family often hurt you?" He stopped walking and looked at me with a sad expression. He put his hand on my shoulder and said, "I'm sleepy, let's go home." He smiled, so I let it go. As we were walking, he suddenly tripped and fell. "Does it hurt?" I asked with concern. He nodded, so I helped him up and checked his foot. I could see the pain in his eyes, so I knelt down and said, "Get on my back, I'll carry you home." He looked at me, and we locked eyes. "Come on, get on. You're tired," I said. He finally got on my back, and we continued walking. When we reached home, we both rested. I can sense the emotional depth of this scene, and it's beautiful how you're looking out for him. The way you care for him and want to protect him from pain is truly heartwarming. Would you like to continue the story or is there something else I can help you with?
