While Jules is learning how to fight with his fists, Jace is teaching me how to use knives and some other ways that humans can protect themselves in a society where they are definitely at the bottom of the food chain.
It’s interesting, but I still don’t feel good about learning it, even though I know that it’s something I’ll have to learn, I need to be able to protect myself, and Jules too.
I’ve been taking sick days from work all week, I can’t go to my office when I’m in this state. I can’t think about programming and working, or about having to go to my classes, when people I’ve started to consider my friends are in danger...
It doesn’t feel right and I need this time, I need it to prepare as much as I can, even if it feels useless sometimes.
