I don’t know what I expected to happen, what I hoped would happen next... But me sitting on a pillow on the top floor of an old remodelled school building, with a mage at my side, was definitely not on the list of ‘things I ever expected to happen’.
It’s odd, strange, being surrounded by books and all sorts of metal plates, bracelets and other items, it’s so unfamiliar to me. But I know that we have to do this, without magic at our side, I don’t think we’ll make it.
Kai is infusing some of the items with spells we’ve found. The most important spells are the physical shielding spell to keep away the hunter and one which is supposed to at least sort-of nullify the hunter’s anti-vampire powers.
It may not do much, but right now, we’re taking any chance at an advantage that we can
