(Steven’s pov) Roman and I allowed Jack to guide us in pursuit of finding her. With his help, we discovered a secluded home settled within the deepest, most dense part of the woods. It appeared abandoned. The windows were shattered and boarded with slabs of wood and metal. The paint chipped and cracked, exposing old brick that rested beneath it. The thought of her being in such a place angered me. “She’s in there”, I asked Jack. “This is where scent runs cold”, he confirmed.
