Prologue
Sirens and flashing lights of blue and red were buzzing around the murdered scene at the mansion of the famous android inventor. There was news flashed through the screens, informing folks that the beloved inventor of the Gentle People has been killed due to – assumed as – a malfunction or a defect of an android.
Now, the android was not in the scene when the police arrived but there were obvious clues and hints that it was the android, it fled the scene of the crime it took place for an unknown reason. Some speculated someone must've hacked onto the android or it was framed and taken to destroy the evidence. No one will be able to hear the truth till the android is found by the search parties but as the days went into weeks and weeks turn into months, the search party regrettably concluded that the bot has been destroyed. Of course, there was some backlash for the sudden conclusion of the search parties but no one could do anything, no clues, hints, witnesses or even a smidge of where the bot’s whereabouts are said to be. So the investigation came to a close.
But where is the android? Where did it go? Was it truly destroyed? Did the android really do it? The citizens had their doubts yet none could give clarity.
And so, everyone ignored the case, everyone placed it back into their heads. I guess you could say that they no longer mind it.
While for the android, it was true that it was the one who killed the inventor, not hacked or anything, they were just convinced somehow. And one way another, the android left into the thick wooden areas to escape but when it did, its power shutted down in the middle of the woods only to power up again while lying down on the ground. With the shade of the tree, he was sheltered from the sun, he sat up and looked around, scanning the unfamiliar place he’s in as the woods he had been before were thick and the light didn’t reach through the leaves.
The soil, the air, the plants, they were all so familiar yet so different. The “soil” that the android knew was nothing but metal and concrete, the “air” should’ve had a mixture of radiation and pollution yet none had here. And the “plants” weren’t as green and “fragile”, the plants that the android knew were hard, rough and artificial.
Has the bot gone back to the past? No, it was impossible even with advancements of the android’s time. If anything, the bot must’ve been transferred somewhere, nowhere, it’s internet was offline. Where is it? Where could the bot be? The android searched for clues, for hints and “ideas” in its data. There were none and yet he knew where he was. How could a man— a boy, forget his mother’s home?
