Perplexed Feeling

271 Words
I left the hospital and deeply breathed in and breathed out to my relief that I didn’t have to keep smelling and feeling the hospital environment. My mom drove her car out of the parking lot and stopped in front of me. I entered the car and my mother started driving. While my mother kept driving, I started noticing that the roads and street signs around be were looking unfamiliar, I asked my mom where we were and she replied, “Haha, darling, this is still the same ol’ street we lived in for the past 2 years”. I thought to myself, “Huh, maybe I’m still recovering from my traumatic incident… Well, I just want to get home and drink some delicious hot choco”. While we were crossing the road, I saw a street light near our vehicle fall, I jumped from the sound it made and my mother asked me what’s wrong. I told her, “Mom! Did you not notice the fallen street light?” then my mom replied, “Huh? Fallen street light? There are no fallen street lights here honey, maybe you’re seeing things, you must be really tired, just rest your head on the car seat and make sure not to put your neck in a compromising position”. I listened to her and got convinced that it’s just my wacky imagination acting on me. I rested my head and I immediately felt my eyes gain a few tonnes of weight. I kept back my head and slept.
