CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT
As the afternoon progressed, two things happened. First, Chloe and Danielle somehow made it through three episodes of House of Cards. Second, the news crews seemed to have scattered away outside. As night fell, they seemed to be almost like pesky insects, flying off in search of whatever the next source of light might be.
They turned the TV off around nine. Chloe went through some of the still-unpacked boxes and found a spare toothbrush and pajamas for Danielle.
