My two weeks into resumption was not alright.

I'd pay anyone my whole year or even teenage life allowance to get rid of Jade for me.

I sat in class trying my best to ignore Jade as she chewed her pink bubblegum loudly. A task that was almost impossible.

"Hey Drew? " she called out.

"Can you just leave me alone? " i asked for the umpteenth time. She gave me a huge grin.

"Nadda" she said. I took a good look at her. She had dark bags under her eyes, barely noticable though, maybe I noticed it because she'd been with me for to long.

"Drew" she called again, I gripped my pen tightly and looked at her giving her a fake grin.

"Yeah? " I asked.

I learnt not to ignore her because she became worst she when I did.

"What are you doing after classes? "She asked. I gave her a smile once again.

"Library" she wrinkled up her nose, making her look cute.

I wish I could pinch her cheeks

I shook my head trying to clear them from any more thoughts on her, the tip of my ears turning red.

"Follow me" she demanded. I turned to her and gave her a skeptical look.

"No"

"Please "

"Why? " I asked. She tapped her chin thoughtfully for a while looking cutter than a puppy.

"I'll kidnap you if you don't. " she said, a proud grin on her face. I arched a brow.

I believed her when she said she'd kidnap me. It may be weird to do but she threatened a cheerleader who 'accidentally' spilled juice on her that she'd have no hair.

Let's just say she's of the Barbie squad and now in the middle age bald men club.

"Where to? " I asked with a sigh. She smiled in triumph.

"A party". Irritation washed through me. Drunk teenagers doing stupid stuff and me don't match.

"No "

"Yes" I sighed once again knowing there wasn't a use arguing with her.

"What time? "

"Nine at a guy named Brad's house. " she said. I scrambled my brain looking for a Brad since I knew almost everyone but I couldn't remember a Brad.

"Do you mean Blake? " she waved me of non- chalantly.

"Same thing" she said with a shrug. She began stuffing her bag with the books she rarely used during classes and stood up before exiting, a moment after the bell rang while the teacher just looked at her, gritting his teeth.

I sat in the farthest corner of the local library I normally visited since the school library would have closed by now, a book in my hand. I flipped through the pages, pushing my glasses down the bridge of my nose every once in a while.

When I was done I dropped the book and stretched jumping slightly when I saw Jade.

She was sleeping, drooling a bit as she rested her hand in her cheek her head planted on the table.

In the heat if the moment I grabbed my phone and took a few shots at her.

She stirred in her sleep and I pocketed my phone, stuffing the books I had on the table back to their spots on the shelves.

She stifled a yawn and looked at me.

"About time you realized I'm here" she said with a grin. My chest tightened as I stared at her.

Fighting back my blush I gave we my best pocker face causing her to smile.

"I thought you said the party was nine? " I asked.

"The local library closes in about thirty minutes" she said. I scrunched my brows checking the time.

True to her words it was a few minutes past ten. I grumbled incoherent words to her while she did a great job I'd ignoring my distaste.

"Let's go, the party will b in full swing now. " she said as she stood up on her feet. I followed her still grumbling.

We entered the house, the odour of booze, vomit and sweat clinging to the suffocating air.

"Wanna drink? " She asked. I shaked my head, grimacing at all the bad memories I have of drinking. She nodded and disappeared into the crowd.

"Watcha doing here loser? " a voice said. I spun around to see Blake glaring daggers at me, his hands clenched at his side.

Responded with silence as he pushed me talking what I could only describe as nonsense.

" and you'd think after what you did the last time you'd never show your face to the world" he said making m grit my teeth and clench my hands, tightly.

"Who even invited you to my party? " he asked.

"I did". From behind him, Jade stood a brow arched as she stared at him.

"Jade don't hang around with this loser" he said as he's shifted closer to her. She narrowed her eyes as he hugged her murmuring some words into we ear.

Our eyes looked hers filled with pure rage as he touched her but, s******g it lightly. With no warning, she matched his toes, brutally and elbowed his gut making him double over in pain.

"You b***h " he growled as he stood upright or tried to stand. She gave him a hard blow on his nose, sending him to the floor.

"Don't talk s**t again " she growled out before looking at me while I stared in shock.

"Let's go" she said her voice filled with rage. I followed her at her back as a small crowd began to form around us.

"You b***h" Blake hissed. It must have done something because she suddenly turned around and stalked back to him, the only sound heard now was the clicking of her heels as it hit the tiled floor. The crowd became more as they watched her.

She stepped in between his legs as he sat up sprawled on the floor.

Suddenly she brought her heels next to his family jewels, stopping to close for his omfort as a glint of fear entered his eyes.

"Your party is lame... except you want it to turn into a bath of your blood I suggest you refrain from using such words with me" she growled out, authority dripping in every word she said.

Hushed whispers filled the house as she turned to look at me. She flashed me a bright smile in contrast to all her very dangerous demeanor and turned around not before delivering a small kick to his chest, probably knocking the wind out of him.

"Ciao" she said with a mall wave, gesturing for me to follow her and walked away.

I definitely do not want to get on her bad side and be on the receiving end.

We reached outside and she laughed.

"I should have given him a broken hand so he could look at reality " she said as she began tearing up a little.

"You only hurt his man pride and ego. I think he'll live with enough embarrassment "I mutteredmaking the two of us surprised. She grinned.

My heart skiped a beat.

I'm certain of it. I'm earning a small crush on Jade Collins.
