After this incident, everyone lost their focus on work. They kept glancing at Emma and whispering among themselves.
Emma, her expression unchanged, calmly organized the documents on her desk. Glancing at the time, she saw there was still an hour left before work ended.
She had to tutor Phillip tonight. Why not go now? No one would likely supervise her today anyway.
As Emma pondered this, a hand suddenly reached out and tugged at her sleeve.
"Emma, I'm sorry, I couldn't help." Leila pulled at Emma, her eyes red-rimmed, sniffing constantly, looking as if she was about to cry. "Are you really just leaving like this?"
