20 YEARS AGO He impatiently waits outside the emergency room.  Miguel Ramirez, a well known Mafia, was nervously pacing back and fort as his wife was giving birth to their child. His wife, Maria, were already announced to be in a critical state and he was given a choice to choose between his wife and their child. "What should I do Abuela?', he tiredly asked his grandmother.  He loves his wife but he also wanted to give his child a chance to live. His grandfather patted his shoulder reassuring that everything will be alright. He was very pissed that he cannot do anything right now. "Don't worry Hijo! Everything will be alright!", his grandmother said. He tried to calm himself as he tried to peeked again at the delivery room door.  He can only pray that the doctors would be wrong and both of them will be alright.  Meanwhile, a police force silently entered the hospital and were about to arrest him.  "Boys! It's about time. The delivery room is on the second floor. No gunshot unless needed. We only need Miguel and nothing more.", their team leader said. They used the stairs to get on the second floor.  One of Miguel's crew saw the police.  "Boss! I saw Perez and his team.", he whispered to him. His eyes grew wide and panicked.  "s**t! Not now.", he whispered to his self.  He secretly informed his situation to his grandfather and was about the fled when they saw him.  He saw them approaching and planned to run away.   Gunshots were exchange after a few minutes. "Miguel!", the team leader shouted.  In panicked, he shoot the police but they easily avoided it. They fired back while Miguel hide in a corner  He shouted, "Perez! You really can't keep your promises. Can't you just give me one more day?" Perez, the team leader replied, "Miguel, I know you more than that! You will not surrender yourself specially with your baby coming!" Through a mirror, Miguel can easily saw their action. He shouted again, "Maria and I trusted you! I just asked one day! One more day! Just let me see my wife after she gives birth to our child!" The police tried to peeked on his side but he fired a gunshot seeing this. One of the police got hurt. The situation became more intense.  Perez saw how Miguel used the mirror to see their next move. He shoot it scattering on the ground.  His grandmother who foresaw the situation tried to saved Miguel. He came out of the room and was accidentally shot by the police.  "Abuela!", he shouted. His grandfather catches her as she falls on the ground.  Miguel fired multiple shots to the police until he runs out of bullets. He cried to the ground. He can only look on his dead grandmother. Knowing this, the police seize fire and tried to be closed to his location.  His grandfather hold his chest as if he was having a heart attack. Doctors rushed to him as Miguel was being handcuffed by the police.  "Maria!", he was screaming his wife's name as they dragged him out of the hospital door.  Meanwhile, Maria gives her last strength to pushed the baby out.  "HMMMMMM!" As she breathe in as she gave her last shot. A baby boy was born. The doctor placed him on her chest and she smiled for the first time. She silently prayed for her child, "Dear God,  be good with my child. Give him a good life."  Tears fell down her eyes as she hold his hand and kissed it. She knew her time was getting shorter and heard what was happening outside. She hoped that fate will be kind to him. With her last breath, she hold her baby tight.  "Time of death, 21:00.", the doctor took the baby away and pulled the white blanket to cover her face. The baby cried as if he knew what is happening to his parents.  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ On the other room, a model slashed acclaimed singer-actress was also giving birth. Suzanne Fate, was engage to Hotel Tycoon, Rodnier Mcmillan. They dated for a year when she got pregnant. The news spread out like wild fire and Mcmillan family refused to be humiliated.  "Rodnier, we already told you! That girl was not right for you!", his annoyed mother said.  "She was too loud and wild. Her background might good but she was known to be a gold digger just like her mother", his father added.  "Are you really sure that this was your child?", his grandmother asked.  "Yes.", he can only answer.  Although with Suzanne's past, he knew that Suzanne will only flirt one man at a time.  The Mcmillan family arrange their engagement and planned the wedding after Suzanne's birth.  Rodnier and Suzanne got a fight and she looked for the comfort of her parents. She was driving to visit them when she felt a strange pain in her stomach. She panicked and went immediately straight to the hospital. According to the doctors, she was having contractions and was about to go on a labor.  Knowing that she was only thirty-eight weeks pregnant, she got scared. Confused, she called parents and informed her situation. When they came to the hospital, she was already in the delivery room.  "Pushed! Pushed harder", the midwife shouted.  She pushed and pushed until she was about to loose consciousness. A nurse hold her hand as she gives her last strength. Before she passed out, she saw her baby blue and pale and she heard no cry from him. When Suzanne wakes up, she saw both of her parents on her side. Her mother's eyes were swollen and were very upset.  "Where's my baby?", she asked her parent. Her father holds her hand while her mother cried again. "Papa! Where's my baby?", she asked again. She felt a lump in her throat as she knew something was not right.  She tried to stand up by forced by her father to lay down again.  "Where's my baby?", she asked for the third time.  Her mother got the courage to answer her question. "I'm sorry, honey! But he-", she was interrupted by Suzanne's hysteria.  She hurriedly removes the IV's on her hand and run off the room. She run out of the hall going down stairs. Her parents followed her.  Suzanne heard one of the nurse saying a dead baby was still in the delivery room. As she entered, she felt a cold wind embracing her. She saw her baby peacefully laying. She kneeled before him and cried.  "I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!", she pleaded on her dead child. "If mommy only listen to them, you will still be alive and leaving inside mommy." Suzanne's parent found her and take her back to her room.  Still in shock, Suzanne lays on the hospital bed curled up like a child. She never felt so sorry before. She blames herself for the death of her baby.  Then her phone ring. When her mother checked it, she saw a lot of message and missed calls from Rodnier.  It was when Suzanne realized the other tragedy that might fall on her. Rodnier only agrees on the engagement because of her baby. If he knew what had happen, he will call it off.  She then remembered the other things she heard from the nurses.  "Papa! Help me!", she pleaded her father.  "Anything for you honey!", he said.  "Papa, Rodnier will call off the wedding if he knew that our baby is dead!", she cried.  "He will not, honey. We know he loves you and you are still grieving with your baby", her father assures her.  "No, Papa!, You don't understand. All those rumors, all those rumors were true!", she explained.  Few months ago, a rumor circulated the news. Rodnier Mcmillan was secretly dating a maid. Of course, Mcmillan family handles the rumors privately and it was easily shot down.  "That can't be right! Rodnier denied that news as well.", her father suppressed his anger.  "Trust me Papa! If he knew our baby was dead, he will immediately calls of the wedding!", she shouted.  "What do you want us to do?", her mother asked her.  Suzanne told them about a baby whose mother died of childbirth. She wanted to take him and present to Rodnier as their child. Seeing how desperate Suzanne, her parent agrees with her plan. They visit the baby and cannot believe his resemblance with Suzanne and Rodnier.  Her father know the hospital's owner and director. Being his old friends and  Suzanne's godfathers, they agree with their plan.  Her mother called Rodnier informing Suzanne's birth. Mcmillan family immediately went to the hospital. The elders were very happy seeing the resemblance of the child to the couple. They  immediately planned their wedding.  Rodnier knew something was off. He knew the baby was born premature but he seems to be fine. He secretly asked a paternity test to be taken. This reached the director and order it to be tampered. A few days later, Rodnier got the result. It was 99.99% positive. He was the father of the child. He took Suzanne and the child home and gave him the name, Reggie Noel Mcmillan.
