Alissia I can’t stop laughing as I sprint away from Demitri. Axel’s amused expression follows me as I dash past the looming warehouses. My plan is simple—hide in one, wait until Demitri starts searching the closest, then sneak back out and make a break for the road. Easy, right? Well, it would be if I wasn’t entirely lost. I’ve never even noticed this place before, and now I have no idea where I am, only that I’m running blindly. I slip into one of the warehouses, crouching by a dusty window, heart pounding. I peek out, scanning the area for any sign of Demitri. Nothing. Has he given up? Doubtful.
