Chapter 27

~Tobias~

After what seemed like ages I finished rearranging the letters of Limes "oh my gosh, I've got to get the hospital. I can't believe it, she's...it's...I've got to go now" I say shocked as I realise that Limes was also an anagram, it was an anagram for Miles, of course Roxanna Miles.

My dad comes to my room carrying food, I'm guessing it's my tea "hey son, I've brought your food up for you" my dad said as I get my jacket and shoes on "thanks, but I've got to go, bye" I said rushing out of my room and out the house

~Stefano~

I stand by Roxanna's bedside and hold her hand whilst talking to her, I know she can't hear me due to her being deaf but I still talk to her "I'm so sorry kid, I shouldn't of let Robert be in the room with you, I should've known his plan, I'm going to have a word with him. You took a lot kid, I'll give you that. You had better pull through this, if you pull through you can forget the initiation process, you'll automatically get straight to your position, you've proven yourself worthy while being held captive by us. Rest up and pull through, you're like a daughter to me and I'll treat you like 1, I'm not losing another daughter, so you better wake up. You've grown on me, I see you a daughter. So please Anna, please wake up quickly". I let go of her hand then leave, I can't bare seeing her like that, plus the doctor has to do her job, so I leave and go to the lobby.

I enter the lobby and see Stefano sitting on a bench, so I walk towards him and sit next to him "hello Stefano" I say as I sit down on the bench "not the time officer, not the time" Stefano says sounding fed-up "oh right, your 'niece's best friend' am I right?" I ask, I didn't believe him 1st time round, but especially now I know it's Roxanna, I weren't buying what Stefano was saying, but I guess he missed the air quotes because he rubs his temples and then answers "yes, yes you are" now I think it's time to tell him I know he's lying, he doesn't even have a niece. "Yeah, but you see, I don't believe you unfortunately. You see Mandolza, I've been doing a lot of thinking and figuring stuff out. Plus we know everything about you and who you are, and I mean everything. That even includes that you don't have a niece, or the fact you don't know anyone called Anna Xor Limes. It's a fake name, actually it's an anagram to her real name" I say confidently, but of course he plays dumb "don't know what you're on about officer" of course he'd say that with his recruits, 'aw damn, that means Anna is apart of the mafia' I thought to myself when I realised the conversation I was having "I think you do, you see when you rearrange the letters and figure out the anagram, the name is of 1 who is a wanted criminal, a certain dangerous criminal called Roxanna Miles" I explain "you're imagining things" "am I though? Am I?" I asked pushing him a bit, just then I think he realised he couldn't lie to me about it "you can't arrest her" Stefano said obviously remembering our conversation, but I'll bluff and see if he'll talk more "true, but 1 call to my colleagues and they can" just then he got very defensive "don't attempt it, she's in no shape to be arrested, so don't even attempt it, I'm serious" guess he's fell for Roxanna and her....urm...charm of a character, guess I should stop now and be honest with him as to why I am really there "relax, I haven't come to arrest her, you see she's a friend of mine. Sure she turned on my when she was in juvie, but we seem to be getting on now" I explain and his walls go back down "that's good to know, it's not good, she's..." Stefano got cut off as we both heard Daniella through the intercom.

INTERCOM:

Code blue in ICU, Room 5! I repeat code blue in ICU, Room 5!

Stefano sighs at the sound of that, I guess he knows what that means as he says "come on kid, don't do this now, you've got to pull through, not leave" "what do you mean?" I say as I hear what he said "Roxanna's life is hanging on by a thread, she's in a coma. Machines are keeping her alive, I'm guessing they've gone faulty. She's dead, they have to try to revive her again. I hope they do, and put her on better machines" I can't believe what I'm hearing, but I want to see my friend "I'm not telling anyone, but where is she?" I ask, to my surprise he is actually cooperating with me "ICU, room 5, come on, I'll take you there" and with that we both stand up and start walking.

We arrive at the ICU outside of Roxanna's room to Angelica coming towards us "I'm sorry, but we're trying to revive Miss Limes again, neither of you can go in until I say so" Angelica said stopping our tracks "yes doctor, we understand" Stefano answers as Angelica walks back into Roxanna's room. I turn to Stefano and start talking to him "so, I get why you gave in a fake name, but how did you..." before I could finish my question Stefano cuts me off and answers "come up with a fake name? Easy, she told me about her and her twin writing in anagrams" I am not surprised at all that he knows "of course she did" I said realising how stupid it was to ask how he knew.

After some time of it being silent apart from machines and chaos Angelica, Daniella and other doctors and nurses finally revive Roxanna and put her on new machines. The other doctors and nurses leave Roxanna's room, and Angelica comes to me and Stefano "you boys can go in now, but don't forget, she's in a coma and it's the machines alone keeping Miss Limes alive, so you know, don't touch them" she explains "yes doctor I say to let her know that I heard every word she said "great, come on then" and she leads us into Roxanna's room.
