PROLOGUE
"Come on athena! loosen up we're here to have fun not to sit all night doing nothing.."
My thoughts got interrupted by my obviously annoyed friend's shout. I looked at her lousily and dropped my glass of champagne.
" I am enjoying zaril" I gave her a smug look. " WHy are you acting like this anyway? You rarely init to go to clubs... Did you have a fight wih your boyfriend?" I said
"ugh! I am just so annoyed! He got so busy with his so called project with his business partner who obviously fancies him that he didn't even call me yesterday and until now!" she stated sulking while stomping her feet looking like a child who just lost her lollipop.
" For f***s sake Za stop being so clingy. I don't even know how someone as cold as ice like him handles a clingy lady like you!" I said and rolled my eyes at her which annoyed her.
Before she can open her mouth, I stood up " I'll go get some more drinks" I told her and ran away but remembered something so I went back to tell her "Girl, don't get wasted I don't wanna die early you know!" I playfully winked at her
"A glass of Dom Pérignon" I told the bartender.
"What is a gorgeous fine lady doing out here alone?" the man beside me asked and I just responded with a smile. "I'm Christian Blake" he offered his hand
"Athena Criswell" I stated while shaking his hands and he looked at me shocked
"I knew you were familiar! Who would've thought I'd meet the great Athena CRiwell! he stated it as if he won the jackpot
"I'll just go to the powder room" I smiled and excused myself "Ugh boys! I uttered in my breath and just went for a dance
"Had a great time flirting huh?" a deep sexy voice said that i got startled and turned around
"Excuse me, do I know you?" I said sassily so that my nervousness wouldn't be obvious
"Oh I think you do know me Ade" The emphasis on my nickname and the fact that only one person calls me by that name made my body shiver
"Ken" I muttered under my breath. I never thought I'd see that face again. my first love's face.
"What are you- hey!" I yelped when he dragged me out of the crowded dance floor.
