Chapter 3 The Blue Paper Moon

Alyss’ pov;

Once in a blue moon as some have. Although, I suggested a paper moon instead. A blue paper moon within a void that easily changes its form as the night turns into day, and when day transcends into the night. That’s how I describe my world.

A world that lives within the body and mind of my older sister and I. For it’s a world she created just for me to continue living. And although she made this world for me as I have the power to make practically anything a reality, I know that in one way or another that it’s nothing but a fake.

So Alice tries to step out of the light and allows me to take control.

For the light, in mandatory terms is a gate. A pathway that shines so very bright like a spotlight that’ll give either one of us into center stage in having control over the body. Even so, Alice is and always will be the primary. And I make sure for her to never know that when the time is right, I’ll once more leave. But until then, I want all my big sister's wishes to come true.

Alice’s pov;

We were born into this world by the wish of our parents granted by that of a devil.

Safety brought into this world by our mother undergoing the pain of childbirth, for when it was all over I remember soft hands cradling my small form. And then an exchange went as the pair of hands were clumsy but trying to be gentle in dealing with two newborn baby girls. Obviously that the hands I’ve had my first human contact with must have been my parents.

It was nice. For the arms that were wrapped around my sister and I was like a blanket keeping us warm and away from the cold. As they’re protecting us from all the bad within the world that they know would do harm to us in the future once we’re all grown-up.

At a time when we were little girls, a few Jinns had somehow broken into the house one very late night when the clouds had blocked the moon. Hearing a ruckus, father went to investigate and turned on all the lights, that's when the dark impish creatures attacked him. Although I was scared, it was Alyss who was terrified beyond words. The battle was easily won with Jinns being the weakest creatures of hell. Nevertheless, I'll never forget the traumatized look of my sister's face out of my head. As I made a promise.

A solid vow that I've sworn to always protect her until my very last breath. My duty as a person, as a family member and as her twin sister.

And yet, I've failed. But it didn't mean that I've given up hope. In order to save her, I've made a deal with a beast that was already in servitude to the Rose family. For Alyss and I were more than just born as the same person, but now are together as the same being. However, I knew that it wouldn't be enough. So then, I let Alyss take control of my body, or in another term in control of the light. Day in and day out we take turns as the primary within my body so that my dear sister can continue to enjoy life. That the only way anyone else could tell the two of us a part, even before I let B-rabbit infused our souls is that I've always wear dark-colored clothing, and Alyss always wore light-colored clothing.

For it's all that I've ever wished for; my sister's happiness.
