Chapter 24: A Dangerous Turn
Just when Erica and Jane thought they were making progress, things took a dangerous turn. Jane was kidnapped by unknown individuals. Erica received a threatening message, warning her to stop her investigation and leave town, or else Jane would be harmed.
Erica was terrified. She had no idea who had taken Jane or where she was. She felt helpless and scared, but she also knew she couldn't give up. Jane was her best friend, and she couldn't abandon her.
Despite the threat, Erica decided to continue her investigation. She knew that backing down would only put them in more danger. She had to find Jane and expose Lucy and Alexander's father.
Erica started by trying to trace the source of the threatening message. She hoped it would lead her to Jane's location. She also reached out to her contacts, asking them for help in finding Jane.
Meanwhile, Jane was trying to find a way to escape. She knew she had to get back to Erica and continue their investigation. Despite her situation, Jane remained hopeful. She knew that Erica wouldn't give up on her, and she wasn't going to give up either.
